does anyone think this will be a hit game?

FPS fans? do you think this game has anything good in it?

it certainly looks like it could be a fun FPS - i for one dont realy like FPS games where your shooting at other people but i like shooting at aliens and monsters

I love the demo on this month's OXM disc. Just fast-paced mindless shooting, which is kinda refreshing at this point for FPS's. I doubt it will be a big hit seeing as how it's late in this gen's life-span and doesn't offer anything new, but that doesn't mean it won't be fun as hell.

It looks like its just a port of the PC game, and in that case it will be pretty cool. The pc game is fun, and the story is lame and unimportant, so it IS just mindless killing. Fun.

The PC one was a decent game, I actually liked the demo alot. It seems like a cool game but, the PC one got really repetitive you just shoot and shoot and that is fun for a while just don't expect anything else out of it besides shooting.

No. The PC version was kinda fun for the first few levels, then you realize that there's simply no variety or strategy. That coupled with the super fruity ass bosses that have amazing super kill skills, and I just straight up sold it.

I like the game painkiller. I am always amazed what the developers are able to squeeze out of the little xbox. I have the pc game and I played the xbox demo. It gets the thumbs up from me. it is a little on the evil scary side or maybe it was the beer and late night playing. The controls take a little getting use to but it is not too bad. fps are fps they are not all equal but they are not far apart it a different twist to fps.

what some one comented on was exactly what i was thinking of -- since its one of those end of console life games would it catch on -- i would expect it to be xbox 360 compatible so atleast there is a market there for those who cant get enough of FPSs
