View Full Version : eBay seller flavour_girl problems/need advice
I recently won 3 auctions for some NES games from the eBay seller flavour_girl on Jan 12th. Immediately after winning the 3rd auction I paid via paypal. The next day I recieved an email stating that the seller has refunded me my paypal payment. I waited a bit to see if I would recieve an email explaining the refund but never recieved anything. So I emailed the selling just trying to figure out what is going on. On the 17th I recieved this:
Hi - I could not find 2 of the games, and I was shipping that day, so i thought I would refund you until when/if i found the games. i have found them since then. If you still wwish to purchase them, please check ebay username: flavour_girl. Sorry for the hassle, i just was not confident I would find the games right away.
Not quite sure what this meant I once again tried to contact the seller with 2 email..both of which have not recieved a reply. I guess I just don't know what to do as I have never been scammed out of anything (knock on wood!) on eBay. Should I sit tight a few more days and hope for a reply or just go right ahead and leave some neg feedback and move on.
Has anyone had any run ins with this seller before? Need some good advice. Thanks.

common games?
People do misplace things so its nothing out of the ordinary. In fact what she did was pretty honest IMO.
If they are common I personally would re-send the money. If they wern't IDK thats a diff story.

Thats that person who charges 5.50 for shipping, and only ships once a week
I would just let it go and buy them from someone else, just be thankful they did give you a refund and didn't just hold on to the money until they got them in stock

I have dealt with them before. They use stock photos (ones that they have taken though) for their games. I BIN'ed a game that they had, and it looked great in the picture, even said that it came with the box and manual. When I get it the label is ripped to shreds and the box and manual arn't in that great of shape.
I e-mailed them and asked to either get a total refund or a partial (because I still wanted the box & manual). They gave me a partial refund pretty quickly, and we were done with it.
I wouldn't buy from them again most likely... I wouldn't even leave negative feedback... neutral if anything.
I would just move on and find the games elsewhere.

I remember this seller. She (or he?) has been on my "Favorite eBay Sellers" for awhile now. Yes, this person does use the same stock pics over and over (there is nothing wrong with that, EXCEPT in the case where the items looks much different that the stock photo... ripped labels, dirt.. etc.).
This person is also in BC Canada (where I'm from), and I would do biz with him/her. If Im correct, they are from Vancouver BC.. about 3 hours away from me.

She has over 8000 feedback (http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfrppZ100QQfsooZ1QQfsopZ1QQrdZ0QQsassZflavourQ 5fgirl) at 99.1%. I think she's legit. If she was trying to scam you she probably wouldn't have given you a refund on her own unless they were rare or valuable games and you won them for an unusually low price. I'd probably forget about it and move on.

flavour_girl is not even a girl, its a man. Full of shit in my opinion. Once someone starts lying about their gender, thats it for me. Read the article, if you dont believe me.

"When asked about the flavour_girl username, Dan cracks a smile. “We figured more people would trust us if we pretended to be girls.”
What a loser. You have to be some kind of sorry-ass bastard to do shit like this.

I dont see what all the fuss is about... HE has some good stuff at good prices. (some of it's highly prices as well).
If some wants to alter their gender on ebay, fine. It works both ways (Im sure their are female sellers on eBay with male names).
AS long as I dont ever get ripped off, Im cool with whatever someone names themselves on eBay.

They're in Victoria not Vancouver. But yeah, they're in BC which explains the high shipping rates the other poster was complaining about.
I won a sealed game from them recently and apart from being not well protected (padded and ripped envelope instead of box) everything was fine.

I'ts really hard for me to understand why its takes SOME people on this forum to actually witness someone getting scammed out of hundreds of dollars before they even SUSPECT someone of being full of shit. Come on now, eBay thrives off peoples' honesty. If it wasnt for the honest sellers out there eBay wouldnt exist. I know the first thing I was thinking about when I signed up for my eBay account was what I was going to buy first, or what crap laying around my house someone else could possibly want. The fact that the first thing this loser thought of before making HIS account, was to make his eBay ID appear to be that of a girl's name, just to trick people in having more trust in HIM, proves not only is he full of shit and a loser, but that he is also very deceptive. I dont care how many positives HE has, or how high HIS score is. If someone is generally an honest person, they wouldnt worry about having to trick people into having more trust in them. Bottom Line; this MAN is one pathetic human being. Pretending to be a woman on eBay, just to trick buyers into having more trust in you, is just plain pathetic. There is no way anyone can justify what this HE does. I feel sorry for his Mother. May GOD have mercy on his soul.

I dunno man. If I'm buying something on ebay, I don't particularly want to get to know the person. I just want what I pay for.

I dont know what their fascination is. Personally if you ask me, they are full of shit at heart. Sure their feedback doesnt fully reflect how full of shit they are, but for the people that have dealt with them first hand, Im sure some have stories to tell.
He finally replied and said that the reason my games didn't ship was because my payment didn't clear. I just replied to remind him that my payment was send immediately with Paypal funds and that he shortly after issued me a refund that hasn't yet cleared.
I think I'm just going to cut my loses and move on.

I have bought from them a few times. Other than shipping taking a while (since from Canada) I really cant complain.
