Went with a group of friends to a comic store today. Had never been there before but my boyfriend and I had gone looking to buy some cool movie related action figures to hang on the wall. When we got there the place was not only huge, but the layout was practically wall to wall displays of various figures both new and vintage. I hadn't really expected to find anything for myself but some $100 later I left with these:

Nash and Chris from Suikoden. I'd wanted the Hero from Suikoden 1 but they didn't have him. :/

They also had some nice pieces from Star Ocean 3, but I still need to play the game before I decide whether or not I like the characters enough to own.

The DQ8 characters photograph fuzzy because I not only suck with a camera but the plastic they're behind seems to blur own the photos. You can see what the models look opened here:

I just think both series are really well sculpted and would recommend them to anyone looking for some game related toys. Feel free to use this thread to post any of your own game related action figures.

Nice, I bought the Heroes from Suikoden 1 and 2 sometime back. I should have picked up the other ones they had :( Now i'm trying to track them down.

How much were the Dragon Quest ones?

The DQ characters were 18.99 a piece. At the time I thought they were probably pretty steep but as it turns out I defianately saved some money over Play Asia's price (not that they have them all in stock).

Sweet !

I was just thinking of getting the DQ figures today, until I looked into my wallet and saw nothing but dust and bats fly out :embarrassed:

Cool score :)

Are those the US equivalents to the Asian ones at Lik-Sang? I thought they were more statues, not action figures.

Yeah, I'm right. The ones I'm thinking of are the statues:

Though I didn't know there were action figures too! Dammit! I gotta check the comic book store in town. I must get all of them! DQ8 forever!

Those aren't statues, those are the same figures I bought. The reason the pose is different is because the figures have 16 to 21 points of articulation (Jessica and Yangus have 16, Hero and Angelo 21).

I've been wanting them since I firust saw the statues at a couple comic shops in NYC last month! Intrested in the figures and statues myself. ^^

Gamecrazy appears to be selling them, if anyone is curious. I bought two last night, the Hero and Angelo.

Those Suikoden figures have been out for some time now. I imported a box of them months ago from PlayAsia. They are actually trading art figures in Japan. The US packaging is different, but same figures (they will come unassembled, as I noticed by grabbing the upper half of Hero IV and his legs fell off....). I rebought them from Suncoast before Christmas in order to have ones in boxes, and display models.

Japanese box of ten random figures:

Sealed US set of seven figures: Hero I, Hero II, Nash, Hugo, Chris, Geddoe, and Hero IV.

Random opened figures (first image are mine import set minus one and second are Cammy, my chameleon's set of three):

Suncoast was selling them for 5.99, but I haven't seen them for sometime. I'm sure anime online stores have them in stock or ebay.
