I recently was playing my Sonic CD game in my cd player and was thinking, what other games can you do this with on the Sega CD? Also can you do this with any Sega disc based games/systems?(Saturn, Dreamcast, CD) Because I really want to listen to the Sonic Adventure soundtrack.

Did they ever just make a Sonic Adventure soundtrack?
Any hints on where to get it?

Thanks
Dave

i think the Ecco SCD games have redbook audio on them

Sonic Adventure 2 OST recieved a US released, think it;s made by TokyoPop. Too bad it pales in comparison to the official JP release though

Of the top of my head: The Saturn version of Command and Conquer, Sega Rally and Sonic R come to mind.

Warcraft 2 (PC) played in a CD player, as long as you selected track #2 as soon as you load the disk.

The DP guide is a good place to check this stuff out. Just click on a title and if it's able to stand alone in a cd player it will say so.

Most Sega CD or Saturn games have playable music on them. Dreamcast does not. Some PlayStation games do, too, but that's more hit or miss.

We just had this topic, and I posted a list of my favorites (including some PC games, of course).

I don't know if tons of Saturn games have redbook audio...I haven't tried many of mine, but Panzer Dragoon RPG only has one track in redbook format.

Actually, if you want a good laugh, put Skies of Arcadia into a regular CD player. The characters yell at you for doing it LOL

That also happens with Symphony of the Night, but I'm not sure if it's the US one or the import.
