Hey Guys I was at Goodwill today in Coldwater MI and browsing through their games and I see a game in box behind some Sega CD Games and Lo and behold it is a

COMPLETE COPY OF AEROFIGHTERS

I have heard this is incredible hard to find. I seen 2 copies on ebay Cart only for about $50

How much do you guys think a complete Copy is worth??

Also if anyone can host picture for me, I will email you my pic of the find complete with the goodwill price tag still on the box.

Thanks and any help on what you think it is worth would be helpful.

I am going to keep it though, It will go great with my other shmups RSG, Keio, etc

Thanks
Jeff

Also, isn't it "Silpheed" as in i-L? I always call it Slipheed, though.

Sounds like a nice find.

Dude, it was at Goodwill. Whatever he paid it was way lower than the value of the game.

Accordint to the rarity guide, the game is an R8/$25. The last two auctions for loose copies went for $45, however. I would say that a complete copy would therefore be worth something in the range of $60-$80 depending on condition and the weather on eBay that day.

When I showed that auction to my wife she said 'SELL IT'

I said, I will sell it if I am tight on money. I like having a HOLY Grail game :-P

I don't have anything else R8 or higher

Wow. I had no idea that game was worth that much. I knew it was an R8, but I figured it would be worth about $40. I have a complete copy of AeroFighters myself, that I got for $9. I'm glad I didn't decide to sell it. Sweet find, btw!!

Jaja, something like a "charity shop" in the UK, if that helps. People donate their crap that they don't want anymore, clothes, furniture, video games, Goodwill sells it cheaply. That's why Goodwill finds are so coveted. See, it relies on the "goodwill" of the economically advantaged.

Where are you, if I may ask?

That is an amazing find bro! I would love to find a complete game like that. The best find that I've ever had was a Caltron 6 in 1 cart for the NES. It was a loose cart, and I ended up selling it on Ebay for like $150 or something like that.

So I do know what it's like to find a very valuable game for dirt cheap. I'm not really into NES at all, so that's why I sold the Caltron cart, but I'm very much in the SNES. I'm not sure if I would sell that cart. But damn, if you can get $300 for it, then that makes it pretty hard not to sell it. $300 could buy quite a few things.

Ya, I've been looking for this game for awhile. The only places I can play this game are either emulated or at the arcade (which I always dump change into). It's a great find! Good job

I like how they manage to use the name of every rare NES title in there too.

Ok, thanks. I live in Scandinavia. We have something simular here, but only for clothes and furniture.

I can't believe this game is rare, it's just an arcade converion. I played it again thru the emulator and of course many frames of animation were removed, and slowdown are there time to time. I found the converion to be alright, but I don't believe this game should cost more than $10. Those guys who bid on the game for over $100 are out of their minds! :/ Oh yeah, some people call this an Neo-Geo converion, it's not! Aero Fighters 1 wasn't on the Neo-Geo, and this is just Aero Fighters 1. Geez people!

If you ever decide to auction it off just hope and pray that there is 3 buyers that need that one game to finally complete their collections and have a bid war.
