Hey,

The GBA has a black and white color pallette that you can use for GB games (left + B). Does anyone know if this produces the same colors as in a regular GB (pocket, with real b/w) ?
And just to expand the topic a bit, would you prefer to use a color pallette on the GBA or no? Any favorite pallettes ?

Oh, and I am not 100 % sure this is in the right forum (though it has to do with classic gaming). :)

Unusual question. Yes and no. It'll give you colors like an emulator (Visual Boy Advance, for example) would, nice bright white backgrounds and perfect grays. Obviously, this is all contingent on the display technology. The GB Pocket is certainly better than the original brick Game Boy as far as the screen goes, but it's rather gray by default. So the colors will look different from what they'd look like on any other system that plays GB software.

Actually, now that I've finally figured out the button combo, I'll stick with black and white (except for Link's Awakening, the 'default' pallete the GBP gives it is fine).

Vidgame.net (http://www.vidgame.net/NINTENDO/GBA.html) has a good listing of various button combos and the resulting palettes.
