I have an import version of Hermie Hopperhead, and it seems like a pretty cool game, but it's a japanese game and I don't have the slightest idea what I'm doing. You are this little mario type character and you run around, and there are these egg guys that you are supposed to do stuff with, but I'm just pushing all kinds of buttons and I don't really know what I'm supposed to do with them.

Basically, I'm trying to figure out what the controls are, and what I'm supposed to do with the egg guys. I've done some searches on Hermie Hopperhead on Google and stuff, and there are lots of websites that say they have info on it, but then when I go there, they actually don't have any info about it. They have a cheat code or two, but they don't tell you what you are supposed to be doing, or what the egg guys are for, or anything like that.

Anyways, this looks like a pretty fun game, and I enjoy messing around with it, but I would enjoy it a helluva lot more if I knew what the heck I was doing. So if anybody has this game and knows what you are supposed to do, and what the controls are, I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

It's been a while since I played it... but let me try to jog my memory...

Basically, you collect stars throughout the stage and give them to your eggs at the end. They transform into bigger, better creatures as you give them more stars. I think different colored eggs turn into different types of creatures. They really aren't all that useful -- and definitely not necessary to get through the game (although they might be required to get some of the extra stages). They attack enemies and can form bridges to help you over platforms.

It's pretty much your standard hop'n'bop platformer other than that.

Funny thing about that game is that you are limited to having only three egg's helping you at any one time and quite a few eggs are sprinkled about in every level. You merely have to get close to an egg to "activate" it and have it start following you around. That becomes the problem, because you often accidently activate new eggs which eliminate's one of your other egg's that you have been upgrading with your stars. It's painful to loss an egg that you have spent a lot of time and effort to upgraded into something interesting, like a dragon.

That link isn't working, but I did eventually find what you were talking about. Thanks. It's weird, because I originally checked GameFaqs and I didn't find anything other than a couple of cheats, when I first checked.

You have to copy and paste the link. Otherwise it wont work (this goes for all Gamefaqs links) .
