I sold a Tecmo Super Bowl on E-Bay last week, and just got this e-mail from the buyer:
Hi--I received the Tecmo Bowl game in the mail today--it seems to work fine, except I am unable to reset the SEASON mode (it appears a season has been played all the way through and I can't reset the information to start a new one.) Is there a way to do this? If not, I'd like to get a refund.
Thanks for your help.
I need to know how to start a new game on it. I have not play this game, I just cleaned it and tested it. Any help would be appreacitated,
Tony

There should be a way to end the season by playing the Super Bowl probably. He might just need to play or sim the last game.

I was trying to think of the main screen, and I can't remember what the options are. I may have to try and find one tomorrow, and find out my self if no one on here can help.

I don't do the emulator's, I need all the space on my computer(it has a very small hard drive).

Not to sidetrack the conversation at hand, but Tecmo Super Bowl is approximately 200k. You have more hard drive space taken up by the graphics displayed on this very page in your termporary internet files directory.

Dude, the emulator along with the game ROM will be like 700k. Come on, man.

OK Mr Lazy.
Tell the guy to go Season Game -> Schedule -> Highlight any game and press A -> Select "Reset" -> Select "Yes" -> Select "Yes" again.
Then shit will restart at week 1 and he can go from there.

Thanks for the info, it has been e-mailed to them. I'll post the out come,
Tony
I also suggested that if they have the security bit that takes the cartridges apart, to take the battery out of it and see what that does.

Please do. This guy sounds like a handful.
Wants a refund if he can't figure out how to reset the season... Sheesh.

It seems like there are getting to be more and more difficult people on E-Bay now a days.

LOL
funny thread
you would think he would look for an answer to his question online first before requesting a refund...

I find it funny that he would want a refund if he can't reset the season... what is another cart going to be different where you could reset that season more easily?
Some people...
