i saw a black one today. didn't think they made them in another color besides the whitish one.

I'm don't believe they did; instead, there are different shells, or casings, available from third party manufacturers that you could install if you wanted.

SEGA did put out a sports bundle in which the console was black.

I'm going to reitterate one more time, in the US there were only black and white Dreamcasts made. You could also buy 3rd party skeleton shells in: blue, green, yellow, grey, red (pink), and clear.
Japan had a number of different colored consolse, the pink & blue Hello Kitty systems, Seaman Red, Biohazard skeleton red & grey, Sakura Pink, Seaman clear, Mazora teal, and Silver. There was also a "customizable" blue one.
In the US the controllers and VMU's came in green, blue, grey, red, and yellow. The yellow ones were only around for about a month before being discontinued.

I remeber hearing and seeing a cool blue and orange DC that the champion of online Quake III would win.And it would have their name on it.
Did Sega ever do that or was it still in the works when the system died? :o :hmm:
