Judgeing soley from the buyers feedback. I would believe the buyer. he has made purchases higher than the the one for this auction and his feedback is stellar.

I would offer him a refund and send all future items with insurance and packaged better. Judging from the 52 cent postage the package probably wasn't the best. Plus you charged 1.99 for shipping. plus did the package show signs of tampering or tears? If it was sealed were did it go? Was it put in. But really at this point I would take the buyers word and treat it as a lesson.

Just because he's bought higher priced items doesn't mean a thing. Those items probably had delivery confirmation on them so he couldn't complain.

tornadostormxl - I'd withhold feedback from him because as soon as you post a positive, look for him to file with paypal. Maybe the threat of a negative is enough to keep him from taking you for the $15-$20. You know you did right and if the package showed no signs of tampering, he got the item. I've seen this played out too many times myself and that is what I put delivery confirmation on everything now.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but the buyer already admits to getting a package. What good would delivery confirmation do?

Very true, I guess just verifying it wasn't an empty package would be necessary.

That is true but like I said the buyer had 131 pos feedback.
he has shown a pattern of honesty. No neutrals no negatives all positives.

Versus 52 cents shipped.

My thoughts lead to shipping issues. Whether the item fell out the crack,Cheap envelope or a crooked employee. The seller has a responsibilty to get the goods delivered. the buyer could have said he didn't receive anything. Sure some buyers play games but I'm not feeling it on this one. If the buyer has a pattern of ripping people off I'm sure an ebayer would have ate a negative and posted accordingly to expose a crooked buyer.

About 4 weeks ago I sent a 5 game package to a user.
With delivery confirmation and priorty shipped. The user sent me a package it took 2 days. My package took a while.
I called the post office in his town. I went to my post office and got the runaround. I checked online all it said was package package was received at 4.00pm.

The post office said I had to wait 30 days. I was preparing to refund the person because I mailed it and he didn't receive it. I gave him a deadline that If he didn't receive it I would refund the money and the day before the deadline the package arrived.

Moral to the story if I ever send anything no matter how small I insure it even if I lose money on shipping.

Unless new evidence is presented

Verdict.

Judgement for the buyer. refund or replace.
