Im thinking about getting a copy. I know its quite japanese text heavy (especially on puzzles ect) Has anyone played it and got by?... also anyone seen a FAQ?

homeland looks like such an awesome game, i would give anything to see a US release, but it will never happen. :(

yeah, it would have been such a good game for overseas release. Its games with originality like Homeland nintendo should be pushing more. Thank god Chibi-robo is getting a wordwide release.
Im hoping someone who knows japanese & english puts up a 'game faq' somewhere on the web. Therefore gamers in our position can at least get some pointers through the structure of the game + maybe some tips to puzzles, menus ect.
im also keen to try 'Giftpia'. Looks quirky. There was suppose to be a US release but that seemed to have been cancelled. Anyone played it?

this game is one of those times where i wish i was uber rich and could just offer up a huge bounty for someone to translate the game's text so i could enjoy it properly, without having to constantly read through a faq, and not even know what most characters in the game are talking about because the person who wrote the faq didnt find what they said important enough to write up in the faq.
bleh. well i mean they brought animal crossing to the US on gamecube, maybe we will see homeland get a US release on the revolution. *hopes*

yep, rpg's like Homeland on the Rev would be great, especially with using the ds for stats, maps.

Theres some good news & bad news.
Bad news is its incredibly japanese intensive, not impossible but very confusing due to the story & objectives changing depending on who you speak to & which character your playing as & what items you posess.
There is a full walkthrough on the net but its in japanese, its in the form of a wikipedia but it has every secret of homeland on it.

Id pay hard cash to get that wikipedia translated into english as homeland is such a beautiful game its style is so unique. Theres really nothing else like it.
I did a mini startup guide if you want to take the plunge & give it a try.
I translated all the in game menus so thats a start at least, sadly my language skills are not enough to do any better.
