Are the controller ports on a 360 the same as the Xbox ports?

The Xbox 360 controllers are USB. And I don't think there are inputs suitable for the Xbox controllers.

Why do you ask, anyway?

The would be a NO. No ports for plugging them up.

Don't think modding one would work either, since the Xbox Guide button might be a sticking point, even for playing emulated Xbox games.

I don't plan on getting a 360 for at least a year or two, if ever, but I was wondering if I can just use my old joysticks for stuff like DOA4.

Fair enough. I was assuming you were basing your decision to buy an Xbox 360 on this, which would have made me roll around on the floor in a fit of laugher for the next month, or two.

I'd much rather have 360 controllers on my Xbox, given the horrid location of the Start, Back, Black, and White buttons on the Controller S.

Well right now there is no way to use them, but if you really want an arcade stick for DOA4 then you want the X360 Hori Stick because it has the headset port, and you need that if you want to join the Sunday Fight Nights. :)

It's really lame that Sony and Microsoft don't include ports for older controllers. I understand they want to make money and all that but i dont care. If i want to play Taiko Drum Master I need to keep my PS2, if I want to play Steel Battallion I need to keep my xbox. BC is useless.

Nintendo is doing BC right. If I want to play Donkey Konga on the Rev I can! It almost makes up for the 10 versions of the GBA they "made" me buy.

Not to mention the standard controller ports on the back (they've got a few more surprises... I wonder if they'll include NES/SNES or N64 controller ports, too...), and the choice between a standard Rev controller or the new freestyle controller. Nintendo never close doors, they only open them.

That's what i was referrring to when I said "I can play DK on Rev." The controller ports make all the difference.

Nintendo is doing a lot to appeal to their core fanbase, now it's time to start selling to the masses again.
