I've been trying to find games starring/featuring a Ferret, and honestly, I can't think of any but I'm sure there's some out there.
So, guys, anyone know of any games with ferrets in them?

If there are any games with ferrets in them...for God's sake open them up and let them out!
But seriously, I can't think of a single game that came with a free pack-in ferret included.

This is a topic near and dear to my heart since I own 3 of em myself.
Whiplash stars a long-tailed weasel (mustela frenata), which is pretty close to a ferret and is also in my avatar.

Frankie Ferret and Friends' Fantastic Foray into Freddie the Fish's Frail Finances (CD-i).
Not a very good game.

I can't believe the utter lack of Ferrets in video games. Hmm, so unloved, I've been researching it and I'm still finding nothing. Hopefully someone can think of something for me! LOL

What are they? Felines or something?

What are they? Felines or something?
They're weasels, which makes them related to mink, otters, skunks, and so forth. They eat rodents.
In fact here's one tromping all over some game magazines yesterday

Yeah, my brother used to have 2 of the bastards.. They always smelled like piss.. I didn't really like them, but my brother had them locked in a cage most of the time so I guess they weren't well-trained or anything.

i wanted one as a kid. the reason they usually smell is because (like their cousins, skunks) glands that give off a huge odor. even if you get them augemented in surgery, i think there's still some residule wafting.

Those two facts (smell, and being kept in the cage all the time) are probably interrelated. If you keep the cage clean, let 'em run around at least few hours a day, and don't feed 'em crap, they'll smell (and act) fine.
I have to admit, I think they're a lot more fun than classic video games @_@

So, not trying to hijack the topic here, but do these digital ferrets actually exhibit any remotely accurate ferret-specific* behavior in the games? Or are they just there because, hedgehogs and bandicoots having already gotten there own games, they were the only cool species left open?

pokemon ruby saphire emerald leaf and fire have a ferret type mon, zigzagoon/lione (able to catch him very early in the game)
he's one of the better support pokemon too, he was the first to have the ability "pickup" that lets him find random items when you're walking around, he also learns the ability "covet" naturally that lets him "steal" items with a higher chance then the tm move "thief:

And pokemon gold/silver/crystal has Furret, and it is now in some of the newer games too.

Ferrets don't stink unless you don't litter train them and don't clean their cage. No one who comes to my house even knows about the ferret until I bring him out. They have to come out a few hours each day to play. They will, like dogs, start to smell musky if they aren't bathed every few weeks.

Foxes are canids. They're in the same family as dogs, jackals, wolves and coyotes.

If weasels count, there's also Nack The Weasel from some of the Sonic Triple Trouble and Sonic The Fighters.
I don't have any ferrets myself, but I do have a bunny (also not a rodent) and I must say I've been thoroughly enjoying the homebrew DS game Poke Teh Bunny.
http://liranuna.drunkencoders.com/img/PokeTehBunny.PNG
Not that bunnies were under-represented in video games before this of course, but Poke Teh Bunny definitely features some of the most bunny-specific, bunny-esque, bunny-ish and bunny-oid bunny behavior in any bunny-related video game I've played.
You ferret owners should take up homebrew development and start making your own ferret-based video games!

This board seems to automatically change T-E-H to T-H-E. That's rather authoritarian, isn't it. The proper name of this homebrew game is Poke T-E-H Bunny.

Did N64 Conker have ferrets as the badguy's henchmen? Can't remember for sure.
There's always Atari 2600 Mash that calls you "ferret face" when you mess up :)
