I feel sticky...

How many of those CPS-2 do you think have dead batteries?

You can test the game at the shop, but they can't tell you how long it will last of course.

Do most of the people in shops like these speak English? I'm planning a trip to go do some major game shopping there, but I know just enough Japanese to get myself into a ton of trouble! Shopping in London and Paris was easy, but Japan scares me!

No, and technical Japanese is a nighmare.

What store is that? If it's G-Front, I bought a bitching 3x4 MvC2 poster there once.

Yeah, but I can't imagine you'd have too much trouble just shopping for video games. I relied on my women to interpret for me while I lived there and never really had much of a problem shopping alone for anything if I knew what I was looking for. And I frequented quite a few game stores. With the bit of Japanese you know, and the bit of English virtually everyone under the age of 50 knows, you should get along o.k.

At Mak-Japan they have 2 English speaking staff members, one is the boss there and he is a really nice guy.
Before you go, you should compare prices. Mak Japan and TRY are almost always cheaper then Gfront. Gfront may have some rare games or just that one MVS title you are looking for, but that's it. TRY is a shithole and you won't find anything unless you know what you want to buy.

In my opinion and experiences over the years, Mak is the place to be.

I'll sign that. Found Crime Figher 2 4player Version there for 80$ a couple months ago.

and they have nice posters - if they wouldn't be so fuckin' expensive!!
