When I placed my Electroplankton order with Nintendo's online store, I found a listing for Nintendogs Trading Cards. I ordered a couple packs just for giggles and got kind of curious about them. My question is, has anybody seen these distributed through retail channels? This was the first I'd seen of them and the local game chains have never heard of them before. Were they some sort of promo give away? The oddly enormous link is below:

oddly enormous link edited so it's not oddly enormous. -Yash (http://store.nintendo.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&langId=-1&currency=USD&ignoreCrumbs=N&crumb1=&crumb1Ignore=&crumb2=%253CA%2BHREF%253D%2522javascript%253APassO n%2528%2527C%2527%252C%2B%2527CategoryDisplay%2527 %252C%252760711%2527%252C%2B%2527N%2527%2529%253B% 2522%253EGames%252C%2BSystems%2B%2526%2BTrading%2B Cards%253C%252FA%253E&crumb2Ignore=&crumb3=&crumb3Ignore=&translateFrom=%C8%C9%C7&translateTo=EEC&usrSearchText=nintendogs&searchText=NINTENDOGS&selSrchType=&page=&view=&productId=99204&categoryId=60711&lastAction=ProductDisplay&orderTotal=null)

Because four versions of one game wasn't enough... we now need some trading cards.

Didn't the games come with a few cards each?

The packs are 1.99 a piece and come with 6 cards. There are 3 different wrappers and in total about 50 cards (counting the Tattoo ones and the other random ones tossed in there). I bought mine from Toys R Us and have also seen them at Target. They're cute, but really nothing special as there are no new tips, tricks or anything like that on the cards that i've seen.

Just what I wanted to know. Thanks!

KB Toys is also stocking them. I would think a good number of stores that stock Pokemon cards would also have them, since they are both published by Nintendos trading card division.

they're carried all over the place... target, kbtoys, walmart, gamestop, etc... and yet nobody ever seems to have ever heard of them or seen them before. they're pretty common though.

i completed my set about a month ago, and have a bunch of doubles. if anyone's ever looking to complete their set, PM me and perhaps i can help out.
