Hey folks!

The January re-launch of NAVA was a BLAST and we'll continue to do these monthly as long as interest is high. We took some photos from the Jan 21 event:

The FEBRUARY event has now been scheduled and we'll have a special out-of-town guest, none other than Chi-town's own Sean Kelly. I'm sure some of you would like to meet this fine fellow, others may want to pummel him :)

WHEN: Saturday, February 25th, noon to midnight.
WHERE: Digital Press Videogames - see the NAVA page at http://www.digitpress.com/nava.htm for driving and lodgind directions.
WHAT: Bring your trade bait! Wheeling and dealing is a staple of this gathering. In addition we'll have the arcade machines set on free play (I don't think they were actually set that way last time, though no one mentioned it to me - sorry!) AND the internet gaming center will be up and running for some heavy co-op or competitive 6-player games against NAVA members or the interweb.

If you have any questions please e-mail me at digitalpress@email.com.

See ya there!

My friend Frank and I will be attending. This will be our first time there; should be a great time!

If anyone of you have a 3do or a jaguar as trade bait, please bring it! I'm also looking for a complete copy of Wolfenstein 3d for Jaguar.

I'll probably be there, AND I have 3 Jags, boxed/complete; I can probably spare one.

What types of things have you got to trade?

Hmm, I have a few doubles of factory sealed NES games. I have Robodemons, Captain Skyhawk and Bart vs the World. Otherwise, I have greenbacks available :)

Let me know, thanks!

Couple of updates:

I don't think I mentioned here or in the e-mail to the NAVA list that our internet gaming/LAN center is up and running. There will be more gaming than ever before now that we can play six-player CounterStrike or team up in a game of Diablo II.

Sean informed me that he's bringing along some multi-carts, so if you haven't already scooped up one of his Vectrex carts here's your opportunity.

I always look forward to these events - see you folks in just a few days!

I just found out that my friends and wife planned a night out on Saturday, so I'll have to be leaving early - probably about 3:00.

Hopefully, we can get some good gaming in by then.

Portnoyd and I will be attending. :) He'll come earlier than me, but I'll show up eventually when work lets out.

We have 4-5 tubs of things including games, promo items, accessories, systems (including a Neo Geo AES).

Just got home from the first NAVA meeting I've been to. I was the guy in the blue sweatshirt. I had a great time meeting everyone and talking games. I did far more learning than anything else as I was surrounded by guys far more knowledgeable and experienced than myself.

I picked up a Jag from Steve, a few misc games from Dave, talked tons of games with Mike, Steve, Kevin, AJ and a couple of fellows whom's names I didn't catch. I'm looking forward to the next meeting.

The ONE time I couldn't make it.....

There's no doubt that I picked up more stuff at this NAVA than any other... my business deals took a lot out of my photography opportunities, so there aren't too many of 'em this time:

Awesome time. The gaming center in the back was a highlight, with Sean and the DP store going head to head with Sean's store in Chi-town in CounterStrike... we'll have to make that a permanent fixture for future NAVAs!
