Just found this in a November 2001 Electronic Gaming Mag. Can you spot the error?

That reminds me of a game I actually regret not buying off shopgoodwill.com a long time ago...
It was the original GTA III with a Teen rating. I'm so curious now as to what it really was in that packaging.
Good find :)

Scoots, it was most likely just the demo insert that was being used as though it was the actual insert. The only other error I can see on there (and i'm ashamed that I didn't see the Halo one considering how much Halo stuff I own) is that Oddworld didnt get put out by Microsoft, but by Oddworld Inhabitants. That is unless MS ended up being the publisher for the game, but I could have sworn that they wernt.

I see a couple of errors...the pricing and the Halo rating.

The fact that none of those games are worth 1/3rd of what they are priced?
Yeah, I know its the rating. But I dont ever recall seeing a $55 XBox game unless it was some sort of 'special edition'

Oddly enough the Halo book series had an add for the game in the back with the same T-Rating.
I'll see if I can scan it later.

Not an error, but useless/interesting fact:
The cover shown for Project Gotham is not the one that made it to retail. The skyline on the cover shown in the ad has the World Trade Center on it(see below for full cover), which was used for retail promotion. That was pulled in favor of the cover you currently see in retail stores.

The fact that someone wrote "Best Game" over Halo, which we all know is the complete opposite? ;)

Ads like this are usually printed MONTHS in advance. So it's no surprise that they show some different covers.
