Thanks for posting this. The video is very neat to watch (even if it doesn't really provide us with much actual useable information). The discussion thread linked in that article kind of expands on the whole concept. I'm only disappointed that I wasn't a part of this project! One of those "wish I had thought of it first" moments. :)

What an interesting idea for a statistics project - comparing the runs on a specific level of a game to see what sort of commonalities exist. If you read the article, though, making that video was a *lot* of work. I'd've thrown out the run that used the Pause menu for sure :)

It's nice when people do things like this. It really helps out some people to realise what the programmers were thinking and possibly come up with the best possible way to beat a game. Kind of like how some of these people can beat an NES game in 10 mintes or less like freaking crazy!
