This is the game of the year, no questions asked. When Jack Thompson ran his mouth about he would donate $10,000 to charity (http://www.joystiq.com/2005/10/10/jack-thompson-makes-a-modest-proposal/) if a company would make a game to his specifications, someone did. He said it was satire.
Now someone really did make that game, and it's hilarious. Created by "Thompsonsoft," this is the game for anyone who has followed the gaming violence situation with intense frustration. The opening cinema alone is worth the free download (http://www.slutbear.com/thompsonsoft/index.html), PC only.

Um...I think they were beat to the punch. Remember that whole shenanigan where someone made a crude game that fit the guidelines and Thompson was a no-show with the money, leaving himself wide open for Penny Arcade's charitable sucker-punch?

This game is awesome. The only times I died were on the last level, while running out of the building. Really fun game.

Yeah, but this is a LOT close to Thompson's request. His resonse on Gamepolitics was that he'll be contacting their lawyers.

It would be awesome if they open sourced this or at least cross compiled for other platforms. I'm sure if the source were available then an xbox binary would be on the usenet within a few hours, heh.
Hopefully a MacOSX build comes out so I can play it on my powerbook during lunch.

i'm terrible at using the keyboard for jumping around while getting flooded by lawyers (the hardest enemy to defeat IMO). they need to get some avatar-sized pics put up, 'cuz i want one of kim's tear streaming face.
kind of on an off-note, i wish there was a beat 'em up based on this. having a baseball bat as your weapon instead of punching would be pretty nifty. reguardly, this is a great game and i'd buy it if it ever came to console.

this looks like fun, i'm downloading it now. that guy is such a moron, i always wanted someone to actually make his game idea. the GTA mod (i never saw it but ive hard of it) did'nt really seem to fit the bill. this should rock.
