This week-end my friends and I pulled a 2 day straight marathon on WoW and Street Fighter. We started on friday night and just finished. Have to say im really tired but it was all worth it. Nothing beats 4 hours of straight 1vs1 in street fighter. So what were your best gaming binges?

on a couple of occasions my friend and i stayed up all night to beat a psx game, the ones i can remember now are megaman x4-x6, Loaded, Reloaded, Soviet Strike...

i really cant play a vs fighting game for more than an hour, it gets boring ...

I stayed up all night to play through the last part of Metal Gear Solid 3.

When I first got the SNES Street Fighter II, I played it non-stop for 10 hours + for a couple of days. 8-)

only ever had the one and that was for soul calibur, on a rented DC with no VMU,
we where so desperate to see everything we played it for a good 24hrs straight
and then had to turn it off due to it gettting a little hot!, damn i near cried
when i saw all of my hard earned unlocks go down the drain.

As it worked out I bought a DC WITH a VMU the next week
and we played it agian the next weekend, but not gor nearly as long

We just had a 12.5 hours DOA4 marathon last night and we've been doing 10 hour games every weekend. Sure it may not be as grand as a 48 hour gaming session, but you've got to admire the consistency.

I don't know, maybe my weekend shmup binges? Last week I spent 4 hours straight playing shmups. I started out with the NES, busting out Xervious and Zanac, then moved onto Truxton for the Genesis. Next was Geki-oh: Shooting King (Shienryu) for the PS1 followed by Mushihimesama for the PS2 (import).

I used to play 3 hours of Halo 2 a day for about four months.

With friends, we've played the same game for 3 or 4 hours straight, but never for an entire day or something like that.

Haha, this reminds me of last year in my house when we used to play Football Manager 2005 over the network. Over here in England the whole Championship Manager series is pretty much regarded as the most addictive/best thing ever. We'd limit ourselves to weekends when we played it networked. So we'd start say 5pm on Friday, then wouldn't stop till about 5am. Then we'd get some sleep, eat, and start playing again about 5pm again and didn't stop till about 5am again. And from about midnight onwards we'd already decided to stop a good few hours ago. One of my friends is trying to get me to start a game on the internet. NO! I am not installing the latest version.

Apart from that, well, singleplayer I guess it was the day I decided to complete Shenmue 1 in one-sitting. That took pretty much the whole day given that it took about 16hours to complete i reckon

I was the same way the whole way through metal gear solid 3, was the 1st, and only time to date that i've ever called out of my job in the 2 years i've been working there. Just because i couldn't bare to tear myself away from that game.

Back when the first PSO came out on Dreamcast, I did several 16 - 18 hour gaming sessions... for a while it was just about every weekend. Luckily the game died out for a while so that I could get my life back.

I shudder to think about when Phantasy Star Universe finally comes out...

Haha. I couldn't agree more :) Used to get home from college, boot up a single player game... then go online for some network Champ Man. Ah, good times, good times! Trying to get back into with FM 06... had a good first season at Newcastle, then struggled for 14 games in season two before getting sacked after beating Fulham 5-2, lol.

I've gone to Fulham, now, had a great pre-season but have started dreadfully in the league! I hope I can turn it around.

Pro Evolution Soccer 3/4/5 and Civilization III are probably the other games that stole the most unhealthy amount of my time in one sitting. Oh, and Unreal Tournament 2004! I could get lost in that game for hours and hours.

We had a go live on some software I worked on so a coworker and I had to spend the entire night in the office sitting around in case anything came up. Setup a projector on the wall and hooked up the x-box. Played Burnout 3 for about 14 hours with a couple short pauses for random stupid customer questions.

Well, my gaming binges lately have taken the form of both James Bond: Nightfire and James Bond: Everything or Nothing on the PS2. Fun fun fun multiplayer, although the arena mode in Everything or Nothing could be better.

The toughest is to switch between these two games, as the control scheme isn't exactly the same. But it's still good fun.

And I'm improving at the game -- woo-hoo. (I'm still a newbie at shooters...)

NHL for Genny and Baseball Stars for NES = too numerous to count. Sessions averaged anywhere from 4-16 hours on numerous occasions.

Christmas 1993 (I think it was 93 or 94) I just got Final Fantasy III for the SNES. I began my first game... 15 hours later, I saved and ate something. Go to bed, wake up, repeat step 1.

The first one I remember, honestly, was Great Volleyball for the SMS! I just had to beat that tourney. Beyond that, I know I put a lot of hours into Reggie Jackson Baseball on SMS, Genny NHL and ShadowRun, PS1 Final Fantasies and Xenogears, Military Madness on Turbo Grafx.

Hell, I'm up until 3 a.m. playing Guild Wars like 2-3 times a week now! LOL

I don't usually binge, but last week Tuesday I went down for the count with a kidney stone. Ended up being in the hospital for two days and surgery has kept me in bedrest since.

I've never been "forced" to game for as long as I have. I think that I have played through about 20 DS games. It's been kinda nice, actually. I feel pretty on top of my game playing for the first time in a long time. I guess seven days of about 12 hours of gaming per day will do that for a person.

As much fun as it's been, I'm excited to return to a normal day soon.

I used to play SOCOM 1 everyday for ATLEAST 10 hours a day. It put a beating down on my social life, but hey it was fun/addictive as hell. Longest I ever played it was 18 hours straight.

I have alot of memorable gaming binges, or what I would call gaming binges. I've wasted so much of my life doing this, that more than four hours in front of a game screen kills me. Here is my list of most memorable:

NES sports games (Blades of steel, tecmo bowl, hockey) for a straight 36 hours

mario kart/fzero for an entire weekend

Mario 64 for bout a week straight in my friends black light lit and insence filled room. soundtrack: NIN and 311

Tekken 2 for an entire weekend.

and most memorable was a crazy three week hippie fest of nonstop skateboarding, guitar playing, and Tony hawk 2, you can only guess the soundtrack.

everytime a resident evil game is released my friends and i take off work to spend the day or 2 playing it.
when a outbreak is released everyone links up and plays from one room over the net.
i cant even count how many hours was spent on this.

When Golden Sun for the GBA came out, I bought it for myself as an X-mas present. It was difficult to not open it early, but seeing as how I was spending that x-mas completely alone, no friends, family, anything, I forced myself to wait.

On x-mas morning, I opened it up, started playing, and by the next day when the stores opened up, I had it beaten and traded in.
