They don't have to be good games (but they can),.. just an interesting title screen.. it doesn't have to be busy or anything to be good.. It can be simple.. it just has to work. Here are a few I find interesting to start off with.

And ofcourse the one forever imprinted in my memory.

Your pics aren't working.
I personally love Spelunker's (for the music and the fact that the images on the screen appear in time with the music).
Also, the Battletoads title screen, with the makeshift "scaling effect" of the ship coming at the screen is probably one of the most cinematic things I ever saw on the NES.
The flashing lights and the nifty fade-in effect of Blaster Master's title screen will always stick with me as well.

Hmm.. I linked them from vgmuseum.. I can see them..Oh well.. I don't care enough to care. I'll just listen to what everyone else has to say.

Action 52 actually had a reasonably decent title sequence -- it had a theme in-line with the name of the game and used a digital sound loop! Of course, it had to be attached to 52 of the poorest excuses for 'games' ever conceived for any platform, not just the NES... ;)

I got to go with the classic video game title screen, SMB3. I love that title and game.

Well then why did you create the topic?
Instead of hotlinking from other places (especially places like VGMuseum that apparently dislike hotlinkers), you could just upload the images to imageshack.

'Tho my fave Mega Man game is 3, I gotta give it to Mega Man 2 for having one kick-ass title screen.
What about Street Fighter 2? Sticks out and is pretty simple both at the same time.

Mega Man IV and Mega Man II
Mario 3 is damn good too
Zelda II is a personal favorite of mine
Gargoyle's Quest II, simply because of the "eerie" blue glow :D
I'm surprised nobody has said CONTRA or CastleVania (Love the lil flying bat comin' at ya)
Metroid I'd say is another solid title screen. Simplistic...Zebes Planet terrian...the mystery of space itself...Captain's log.....SPOCK!!

Not even close to a complete list:
Castlevania
Zelda (both of 'em actually)
Skate...or...DIE! The second one. Coupled with the music, this one makes me laugh LOL
Contra (classic!)
A number of imports have great title screens, too. Off the top of my head, I liked Holy Diver's and Getsu Fuuma Den's.

Bite your tongue! Pin Bot does not "susk". It's one of the best pinball sims on the NES.

Super Mario Bros. The title screen reminds me of the x-mas we got it. Great memories! :)

I think Wizards and Warriors is my all time favorite NES title screens. I love the music, and I love the colors of (I'm assuming) Kuros. I also enjoyed Zelda and Metroid's screens.

That Mega Man IV title screen is pretty sweet.
Golgo 13 had a pretty neat title screen, with the eyes.

Mega Man 3 is by far my favorite NES title screen. Not because of the screen itself (it's rather bland, to be honest), but because of the song that plays during this screen. It's easily one of the most beautiful compositions I've ever heard come out of my NES.

The music was Surreal! I totally agree!
Oh, Bionic Commando is again, a very simple, but enjoyable screen.
Double Dragon I and II also get brownie points!
Legend of Zelda and CastleVania are two of my all time favorites title screens.

Hands down. It was so detailed on the NES that it kinda scared me when I first saw it years ago.

You mean Freedom Force? I don't know if the title screen itself is all that cool but the intro sequence is definitely brilliant. That art style is incredible! The buildings at the beginning are just beautifully done. Very film noir.
