Pretty slim picken's in my area outside of the commons :/
After no luck on ebay over the last month or soo looking for Flintstone: Burgertime in Bedrock(GBC) and Mr. DO!(GB) on the cheap(Crazzy prices on ebay). I finally got lucky at a pawn on the Flintstone game, no luck at all on the DO game, and as far as C.I.B? Forget it
Hows it look in your area?

you know, that's creepy...because at local flea markets and yard sales I visit. I have never seen a single GameBoy or GameBoy Color cart since I've been here for nearly 2 years almost...I've found just about anything but those.
Only place to find those GameBoy carts is well...GameCrazy

The only place that has them pretty much are Pawn Shops around me, thats it! EB Games has none at all since the start of the year. There are a few brand new GBC games at a Toys R US by me... but it's all crap games for small children.

There's a pretty decent selection of GC/GBC carts at a local Gamestop and Gamecrazy, but nothing fantastic. However, I did end my hiatus on game spending to purchase Harvest Moon for the Gameboy, and I'm sure there are other good finds to be had around here.

KingCobra, I'm guessing you're not from Portland. The selection's pretty good around here, at least for loose stuff. Most stores I go to have a pretty nice selection. Prices, however, are another thing - EB has decent prices, CD/Game Exchange and a couple pawns are okay from time to time, every other place charges too much, which is why I don't have too many games for either system.
I don't remember coming across Mr. Do! myself, though.

I'm about 30 miles south of Eugene/Springfield area, we also have a CD exchange up in Eugene but it's pretty small, there's not even a Flea market down here anywhare of any kind that I know of? Mom&Pop is a thing of the past around here also :/ Arcade's!? HAhaha.. What's that? Game Crazzy and Pawns are all thats left.
I might have to make a trip up Portland in the summer.

speaking of harvest moon for original gameboy, and the gameboy color release. I have seen these games multiple times at game crazies but never grabbed it, is it a rare find?

The EB's near me all have huge boxes of GBC and GB games, but you have to ask for them. Unfortunately, none have boxes and the games aren't that great. I got Kirby Tilt & Tumble there a couple years ago.

Speakin´ on GBC games, here in Brazil Nintendo once released some "Game Boy Color Game Kits", which included 1 GBC game (mostly Metal Gear Solid, Woodpecker Racing, Pokemon Puzzle Challenge and Tony Hawk´s Pro Skateboarding) + an original game boy color link cable.
The text on the boxes and manuals are in brazilian Portuguese. Games in English.
Is that of any interest for you? They cost around 20-30 dollars here. With some luck, i can find them for cheaper prices. I could trade for complete NES and SNES games.

Yep. Game stores in Atlanta are getting rid of a lot of the GB/GBC stuff to concentrate on GBA and DS.

I'm gonna have to agree with DigitalSpace on this one. I live in Portland as well, and every store that sells game-related stuff around here has plenty of GB/GBC games to choose from. But at $8-$20, even for commons, they don't sell very fast. When I can get NES games (or complete Playstation 2 games, for that matter) for the same price or less, GB/GBC games end up much lower on my list of collecting priorities.

Around here I still see tons of them at GS/EB/GC. Good games too, but mostly stuff that I either already have, don't want, or don't want loose.

Plenty of GB/GBC games in my area.

I can never seem to find any type of GameBoy game at pawns/thrifts/flee/etc... but there is always a good selection at my local EB's and Microplays.
The only reason being is that they usually want $19.99+ for all of them, which means that they would probably never sell (espessially loose).

I can't speak for all regions, but I had a very difficult time finding the original gameboy version and Harvest Moon 3 for the GBC. HM and HM2 for GBC were easier to find, but my impression is that the series is pretty collectible in general, so picking up both of those carts wouldn't be a stupid move. Still, neither is so rare that anyone is seriously going to covet them if they're loose.

`round these parts the split between GB/GBC and GBA/SP carts seems to be about 50-50 at the locally owned shops and presumably at the corporate ones, too. Thrifts never have any Gameboy stuff and I don't go to the pawns.
It still amazes me how you can buy a 2nd hand Gameboy brick or Pocket for less than $10 but Tetris - the freaking pack-in still goes for $15 - $20 loose. Nothing seems to hold its value like a Gameboy cart.

Aside from the case of overpriced games at the local GameStop...I haven't seen any GB/GBC games, used or otherwise.

After years of overcharging for old games most chains are in the process of decaring the gboy and gboy color dead systems. The units are marked down to nothing $10 and less and the games were liquidated. So you have to ask yourself which was better....high prices but availability or low prices and none to be found?
