I recently aquired one of these via eBay-

along with a couple of pachinko games. I have a couple of questions about the controller as well as one of the games, so I'll start with the controller.

If you look to the right and up from the rate handle you'll notice a little red light. Now this light has never illuminated on my controller and before I open it up to see if there's even an LED in there I figured I'd ask about it. Is this light even functional on the controller? I have another thread running at Pachitalk about the FF series of Sankyo machines (which this is a replica of the shooter mech) concerning if the light on the originals came on and under what conditions.

There's next to no solid information on this controller that I have found so I was curious as to if anyone has more information. Any is helpful. (I don't need a pachinko lesson though)

Next, the game Sankyo Fever-S Jikki Simulation was included with the controller, I know there were three other Sankyo Fever-S Jikki Simulation games released on the Saturn (Vol. 1, Vol. 2, Vol. 3) and that they are the only games compatible with the controller. However the jewel case for Sankyo Fever-S Jikki Simulation is thicker than a normal jewel case, just slightly. I noticed this when I went to replace the front panel (which was cracked) with a standard one and noticed it wouldn't fit. This is how it always was since the insert edges and obi are wider as well. Yet, the booklet is pretty thin, so the larger case doesn't make sense to me.

Was the game a pack-in with the controller, maybe with the controller manual inside the game jewel case which would warrant the thicker profile? Again any information would be nice.

So I guess I'm really looking for someone that has one of these controllers complete as well as a copy of Sankyo Fever-S Jikki Simulation. LOL Thanks.

Sorry I can't help you with any of it, but thanks for letting me know about the controller and the games! I've been wanting to get some pachinko games for my Saturn, but I didn't know which ones I should get. I think I know now.

I had 12 of those controllers at one time (I think I paid 500 yen for the lot), all brand new and boxed. Ended up that I couldn't even give them away...

I think the light was to indicate that you had the controller locked at a certain strength. Could be wrong though as I only played with it for about an hour, years ago.

Whatever you do stay away from the most common and horrible pachinko game - "Pachinko Hall Shinso Dai Kaiten" which is a pachinko management simulation, not a pachinko game.

Sankyo Fever-S Jikki Simulation is the only one I know for sure that works with the Sankyo FF (Fever Fever) pachinko handle controller. I'm assuming the Sankyo Fever-S Jikki Simulation Vol. 1, Vol. 2, and Vol. 3 games would work as well. The game is fun and has some nice recreations of six Sankyo machines, but there is no background music (unless I haven't found a way to turn it on) so things can be a little dull.

I also have Hissatsu Pachinko Collection which does not support the controller. The machines are less impressive but the game is set up where there is a "Regular Traffic Mode" where you basically go to a pachinko parlor, sit down at a machine and play. You can get up and move around, cash in your pachinko balls and so forth. It creates a fairly good atmosphere with ambient music, people at adjacent machines (may want to get up and try your luck elsewhere if your machine isn't paying off) and the like.

I started on a basic translation guide for the games but haven't finished it as I've been pretty ill over the past week. Should be up soon enough (will link here).

Not in Japan anyway. LOL I think you could get $20 - $30 a pop easy stateside.

Thanks, I'll check that out again soon.
