WTF is up with the laundry question. And why did the seller answer and post it to the listing? Kinda funny, but pointless none the less.

k i'm confused. How would you know it's a reseal, the lines look pretty authentic to me? can someone tell me why it is?
Either way, i still wouldn't even pay half the buy it now price he's selling it for. This game's been on ebay for months now and no one's ever bought it. Either lower the price or just waste his money on listing it, it's probably been on ebay for so long it cost him the same price to list it as the price of the game LOL

Now you see, I have to disagree. I really am more of the liquid detergent kind of guy. When playing Final Fantasy, I like to have liquid detergent on hand just in case I soil myself somehow.

I think it's a reseal also. The horizontal line on the back is not straight. I could be wrong, but that looks like a tell-tell sign to me.

That's why the picture of the back of the box is at an angle. So the curving horizontal line won't be so obvious.

A curved line doesn't prove squat. Lots of legit sealed games have those. It looks OK to me at first blush although sometimes you can't tell until it's in hand.

The detergent thing is probably a jab at the fact that this is probably money laundering.. a game for $700?

so even if certain sealed snes games have the vertical H seal. What factors would you have to look for to know if it's truly an original seal. I feel like looking through my entire sealed snes collection to double check everything just in case.

That question in the auction is funny.

Come to think of it, i wouldn't think there reseals, check his other auction. That looks totally legit to me.

It would take a hell of a long time to write something like that out. Brinn did post his guidelines under username jerome recently, you might start there. I think he places waaaaay too much emphasis on vent holes being 'impossible to fake' (wouldn't be hard if you ask me) and similarly assumes too much in saying you can't spot color touch (you can) but it's a good starting point.

Back when my gamestop had first opened they literally had 10 FF2's and 10 FF3's all sealed for $5 each, and they sat their for months, imagine if I would have bought all of them, I would have been rich.

Who knows. A lot of these chains resealed games and still do, so that they can have the cases out on the floor empty and the cart/cd in a drawer behind the counter. Maybe the ones in question were legit, maybe they weren't. And it would hardly make you rich, although it sure wouldn't hurt :)
