The Revolution (like every other console) will only be released in one...maybe two colors. This is because American retailers absolutely HATE selling different SKU's of the same product. Walmart, Target, Best Buy, etc are the reason we never saw multiple colored PS2's, Xbox's and Gamecubes. Sure, they'll allow the occasional Halo Xbox or Platinum Gamecube, but overall they don't want to be bothered. IGN's mock-ups look nice, but in reality I'd say it'll be black and possibly white. We shall see...

black is out, they dont even make tvs in black anymore, they are all metallic colored now, black has gone the way of wood grain.

red is in right now, and seeing how it has been nintendo's color for all of these years, why not celebrate it and stick out a bit from the pack

The gamecube launched in two colors, the GBA launched with three, and shortly added a fourth...For that matter, look how many colors of Gameboys there were over the years. N64's were multi-colored, too, maybe not at launch, but toward the end they were, and you always had color choices for controllers. I'd expect at least two colors at launch, hopefully more. And I'll go with black.

I would be fighting between the white and black. Although the black one looks really sleak, the white one gives off that nice glow like an apple computer. The black would look nice against my computer case, but then the white looks really nice next to my Mac. I don't know! Sure, lets go with black because my TV is black... better yet, white because it looks really shiny. Wait, lets go colorful with the red so it stands out against my other consules. Hmmmm... Too many choices. Should we look forward to a special edition color or shape?

That red one is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! I have been to my local shops at least once a week to ask if there is any word on pre orders. I'm NOT missing out on this release.

OT: Kinda lame that we all get twitterpated about a game system release, and go through the hell of trying to get "it" on release day. when a month later you could get it for $50 bucks cheaper by just walking in, throwing your money at the crater face at the counter (don't take offense, we all were that dood at one point) and walking out.

I don't know, I guess i can say to my grandchildren "I was there on october 21 2001" or whatever the ps2 release day was. I guess its all about the experience. I'll never forget laying in my bed at 4am eyes wide open, jumping up and driving all across town to find a store with more systems than campers. good times.

I'll probably go with the blue Revolution. I have a black N64, a black Gamecube and a red DS. Maybe, just maybe I'll change my mind and get the lime green one.

I don't really like those shades of green and red, so I'd probably choose between White and Black. I'll be getting a White DS Lite so I'll want a White Revolution to go with it. But if they do decide to put some more colors on the block and one appeals to me, I may go with it. For now I'm saying white. Just to contrast my GameCube which is Black. Since I had Black before, I get White this time.

We'll see when the color choices are finalized. I can see at least two colors to choose from at the start. Like the Cube came in Black and Purple at launch. Then added Platinum. I can see them making White and Black available at launch and later adding a nice color. Who knows what. What would be cool is if people could custom choose their color to be moulded and shipped to them. You know other countries will get exclusives we don't. And companies will offer custom coloring for them too.

White I think looks nicest. If I got a second PSP, it'd be white. My DS Lite will be White. If and when I get a 360 IF, it will be white of course. And maybe if I'm lucky there'll be a white PS3 in 5 years when it comes down to $150 and has one game I want to play on it.

LOL I'm surprised so many of you didn't know about the colour variants, I've known this for months.

For those of you wanting just the black or white at launch, More choice is better, alot of consoles release different variants now to improve it's appeal, because people like choice.

Personally, the lime green or red revolution would be my choice. Black is out of date and boring. I'll only buy black if it's the only colour I can choose from. I'm going to have fun changing the blue LED to lime green if I get that colour. *drool*

i still dont know if i want one or not just becuse of the weird ass looking controller. I was looking at it, and It just seems weird for me. Maybe it's because I like my GC controller, but, the Revolution one doesn't work for me looks wise.
