Is this the typical price for this game factory sealed (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8256442855&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fse arch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26satitle%3D8256442855%26fvi %3D1) or did the winning bidder just want it really, really bad?

Man! Looks like I might have to sell a kidney to get this game sealed.

Never played the game, but I've wanted to. Do you only collect sealed games? If so, I guess you'll be forking out some cash if you really want it ;)

But that price is for a Loose copy. That copy in the ebay auction is SEALED. Big difference.

Yeah but 148 dollars is really a lot more. I mean its still an R1 so it can't be worth that much.

I don't look for sealed games specifically but if I run across one and it's a title I'm looking for I'll try to get it. I'm more than a little picky when it comes to game conditions so at least I know if I buy sealed copy it will be in mint to near mint condition.

You pay sealed game prices to play? :hmm:

Why?

I've seen this game sealed before for as little as 20 or 30 dollars. I was stratching my head when I saw this result as well.

Check my post above yours for the answer. Also, I've been burned one too many times by ebay sellers stating that a used game is mint and complete when it's not.

HAHA, looks like some collector nuked the hell out of it at the last minute, and got burned really bad on it because someone else had already nuked it. Be careful with nukes.

See? 50% price drop in two days. And it still went for way way too much. This is a $35-40 game IMO.

Yeah, I actually had that one on my watch list but didn't make it in time. Oh well, the search continues.

Don't be sad, be glad. You'll get one later for cheaper than $81.

might have been too much for this game BUT just because its an R1 and worth under $10 loose doesn't mean it can;t be worth the big bucks sealed. There are many cases of cheap almost worthless games that sell for decent cash if they are hard to find sealed. NES Super mario Bros 1,2 and 3 for example

I know what you're saying... totally... although SMB3 would make my top ten list of easiest NES games to find sealed. Those three games aren't hard to find sealed at all. They just get decent prices from the demand.

Two guys fighting over the price...strangely they were really close to each other. I guess those were the only two people who wanted to pay over $150 for it - check the bid history. The closest bid was $22 LOL

That's what I mean. Looks like two snipers nuked the hell out of it around the same time, and the one who nuked it the worst got stuck with it. You have to watch the nukes! It's very rare, but once in a while they can backfire on you!

I wouldn't put too much stock in the DP price guide. I almost never see/buy games for those prices.

Yup, I had a situation like that earlier today. Was bidding on something in pounds, so I had it converted carefully. Turns out somebody really wanted that Mac game BAD. I would've been happy to get it at the price I paid, though.
