According to Reggie Fils-Aime, there's gonna be InterNet for the "Nintendo DS".

The only thing that's held me off from byuing a DS is the size, bulkiness & gimmickry of 2 screens.
But if the DS -- and "GameBoy Evolution" -- is able ta do wireless InterNet, I'm gonna get one.
Will you?
Later!

No, that shouldnt be a reason to buy a DS.
It has good games, thats why people like it.
I have a computer that has internet that works perfectly.
I also like to watch movies on my 32" TV, not on a 4 inch PSP screen. Gaming machines should be bought for their games, not for other things that they are capable of.

You could check your email with your Game.com, but just because you can doesn't mean you should.

I've always thought the DS should have a browser ever since I heard it would have wi-fi. Since Nintendo has arranged for free wi-fi hotspots, this could mean free web browsing on the go as well. A good reason to keep the DS with you when you are out and about. Need a bit of info whilst you are out, crack open the DS. I hope someone does release a browser for it.

I've always thought a browser should have been included as well. With the stylus as a mouse and keyboard, the top screen being the browser, bottom being the keyboard, it would have been utter simplicity to include it free of charge and def. would have boosted sales.
Even non-gamers would have bought the console just to have a web browser you can carry around with you at that price (Granted, there are pda's at that price too, but....)

Here's an idea that I think might work for the DS, since it has speakers & a microphone and all the necessities for it:
Make a cartridge that turns it into a cel phone! The buttons for dialing could be on one of the screens. Should be easy.

This would actually be conceivable through a VoIP.

Is it even possible for the DS to run websites? I mean the PSP is so much more powerful then the DS, and I remember reading up on how it was just barely able to process a browser.

I'd rather they just keep making online games for the damn thing, although an IM program would be cool.
As far as browsers go, I don't see the point. All you'd get is the same gimmicky trash that you see on mobile phones.
The screen is just way too tiny. Any screen with a res of less than 1024x768 is a pain in the ass to view web pages on, so I don't see what good a DS browser would be.

I never thought about the resolution problem. Hmm, you may have a good point here. The DS is only about 320 x 240.
