<BalloonFi> link converted just for Richter (http://cgi.ebay.com/Neo-Geo-Table-Top-Bar-Top-ARCADE-Game-NEW-Metal-Slug_W0QQitemZ6249251898QQcategoryZ13716QQssPageNa meZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)
Has anybody used one of these, or, better yet, have any idea how to get MVS carts working (there's a line in the auction text about how an MVS upgrade could be possible in the future, but I doubt that now)? They look rather cool. I'd bet you'd want to swap out the joystick and buttons, but once all that's done you've got a great looking machine that'll play Neo Geo games.
On the downside: It's not MVS, just an intel board wired up to a JAMMA harness, and the screen is an LCD. Oh, the horror!
Edit: I think it's one of these units:

they are expensive, they are emulation, the sticks and buttons are low quality, no a mvs upgrade will not be offered in the future, the auction states it is not an MVS system, but an upgrade may be available in the future meaning not that it may have an MVS add on, but that other boards with 5 or 6 games may be available in the future.
in conclusion: these things blow, id advise anyone thinking of getting one of these to just buy an MVS cabinet, or have someone build you a mini jamma cabinet similiar to those cabs that actually used an MVS board.

You don't really "need" a MVS arcade cabinet, you can use a supergun to connect to an MVS motherboard and use an adapted Neo Geo AES Joystick... Also I saw an MVS adapter made by a Canadian company called !ARCADE! that you can use with a Neo Geo AES.
I don't have either, but you know...

The !ARCADE! is no longer in production. You have to buy them used from a previous owner now. I just sold mine to a fellow here :). The new SNK-P games however don't work with it, though that sucks its not a big deal.
As for a supergun, thats really your best bet or a coinalized MVS if your only looking to play MVS games.
The table top might look pretty but its a piece of junk for $400. I've seen it before and was quite sad playing it. If it cost around $100-200 it would be cool to upgrade it. Why not just buy the real table top by SNK?

I was wondering if alot of the Laundrettes and Mexican food places in CA would sell the MVS arcades they have. There are LOADS of them, I used to play Metal Slug all the time.
I would buy a AES or CD / CDZ but they are just too fuckin expensive. MVS is the only way to go.
