I'm going over the DP database again and only two titles stand out as "rare", and of those, only one is really tricky (not necessarily hard) to find.
1. Keio Flying Squadron
2. Snatcher (more desired than rare)
Are there others you've had problems with? I only need about a dozen more to complete my collection but I don't see any tough ones in there, unless one of the sport titles turns out to be a problem. How about...
3. The Space Adventure?
I never saw this one in stores and it doesn't turn up very often on eBay - at least it wasn't when I was tracking one down.
Thoughts on others?

Crime Patrol was hard for me to find and don't forget about the three Telegames releases.

Telegames? Do you mean Good Deal Games (Bug Blasters, Star Strike, Citizen X)?

I've always thought Snatcher was RARE, not just highly desired. I've only ever seen it in person once (never saw it on shelves) and the one I did see is the one I happened to get from a friend. As for others that are hard to find...the only ones I've had trouble finding at ALL were:
Third World War
Popful Mail
Keio Flying Squadron
Snatcher
That's really about it. Everything else I see in the wild all the time...or at least I used to until I moved to Ontario :)

This is the reason I don't consider Snatcher "rare":
http://search-completed.ebay.com/search/search.dll?GetResult&query=snatcher+cd&from=R10&ht=1&currdisp=2&itemtimedisp=1&category0=293&combine=y&st=2&SortProperty=MetaEndSort
Do the same search for Keio and you only get one in 30 days. The Space Adventure you get 2. Now I'll be the first one to say that eBay is hardly a good source for determining rares, but I've seen Snatcher and Keio at my local EB back in the day, never even heard of Space Adventure until I saw it on a Sega fansite.

I need about 20 games to finish my Sega CD collection and these are the ones I have had a problem finding and I consider rare:
1. Lawnmower Man
2. Jaguar XJ220 (hard to find complete because it was soft box only)
3. Nova Storm
4. Fatal Fury Special
5. Keio Flying Squadron
6. Space Adventure
Ive noticed that Nova Storm and Lawnmower Man very rarely show up on Ebay, alot less than Keio and Space Adventure.
Snatcher is rare like Panzer Dragoon Saga

Every time I think of rare Sega CD games, the one that always pops into my mind first is Space Adventure.
These are the games i've only seen once in my life:
Keio Flying Squadron (Why did I trade you? WHY? Come back!)
Snatcher (Ditto)
Lunar: Eternal Blue (Ditto again)
Popful Mail (And again)
Fatal Fury Special
Adventures of Batman and Robin

I'm with you on that one, Mother. I'm having some problems with Lawnmower Man. Still wasn't sure if that's a question of rarity or a question of indifference (I really never looked for it until the past 3 months or so). Ditto for Jaguar, though I've had that one from "back in the day" (most of the original cardboard style games, in fact - they couldn't release games fast enough when I first bought my Sega CD).
I had the same problem tracking down Road Rash for Sega CD... which seems like rather unlikely "rare"!

As a non-Sega CD collector, with very little opinion, I do want agree with the Jaguar game being a bit difficult to locate, especially with the cardboard box (as already stated.) I do not think that Road Rash is particularly tough, though, as I've held two copies in the past, and seen several more.
How about Final Fight CD - for similar reasons as the Jag game? Monkey Island? Also, Earthworm Jim SE? I've wanted that one for ages ; )

I'm sure there are games which are harder to find, since there always seems to be a copy available on Ebay but I find one of the harder to get titles because of demand is Lunar 2: Eternal Blue
And I'm not sure if this counts (since I know DP usually doesn't concern themselves with this) but some of the different artwork variations screened onto Lunar: Silver Star story discs are harder to find than others.

Well I dont collect games, but I do have a copy of Snatcher. I got it with 7 other games and a Sega CD System from this guy trying to unload it at EB. The Game is near Mint condition. Any one willing to buy it from me, let me know. The other games are
1. BC Racers
2. Sonic CD
3. Cadilliacs and Dinosaurs
...I forgot the others..have to open the box i keep them in to look. They are all Sega CD Games.

funny world dept: years ago, i bought space adventure and snatcher from an EB here (b'way & 3rd) sold them off through an article/ad in the first issue of my fanzine, then i found both games again at 2 different EB's. of course, i ended up selling off the 2nd space adventure, thinking it was gonna be easy to replace (d'oh!). i've since had to settle with the pc-engine version (there were 2 cobra games released for it)
a bit later, i was at the tower clearance outlet, and i saw a STACK of sega cd games on closeout, including about a dozen dark wizards. of course, i only bought one, because they also had a STACK of new jaguar systems for $35, and i bought a few of those, lol...
as for rare...hmmm maybe revengers of vengeance can be added to that list?

I'm happy to say I've owned Keio Flying Squadron, Snatcher, and The space Adventure since they first came out back in the day. Keio is one of my favorite games and Snatcher was just groundbreaking.
What I consider rare for the Sega CD:
1. Keio Flying Squadron
2. Snatcher
3. The Space Adventure
4. Dracula: Unleashed
5. Bouncers
6. Wild Woody
