Was a stash of brand new Game & Watch games found recent

I'm wondering if anyone knows if a stash of brand new Game & Watch games was found recently.

I'm seeing a LOT of brand new/"sealed" Game & Watch games for sale on eBay lately, and wanted to know how there could be so many.

If anyone has any info, let me know.

Otherwise, I'll assume that a box or two of 10 units were found, and the games inside were still new.

I received three today, and they are absolutely flawless - perfect MINT boxes and the Game & Watch units were unused - never used at all.

To me, that's Brand New. I'm just wondeing how these survived from 1984 in this condition.

I think the reason for the "new" Game & Watches is that they originally were sold at weird shops (who over ordered during the LCD tiger craze). "Weird" meaning watch and jewlery stores, y'know places like that

I personally have notice MANY new ones for quite a few years on EBAY.

Anyways that is my theory.

Not too long ago, a thread was posted here with a link to an ebay auction of someone selling a factory sealed case of G&W. It was going for $2000+, IIRC.
