That just shows you how stupid some people are, and how well you can sell NES systems on ebay right now ;)

I CAN'T READ ANYTHING IN THAT BLASTED AUCTION PAGE.

...

And gold is supposedly a good electricity conductor. Why else would it be used on a/v connections?

Gold is one of the materials who lead electricity best.

Because it doesn't tarnish or corrode.

Compared to copper and silver, gold is actually an inferior conductor.

Its not solid gold tho. Its just a thin layer. But it still lead electricity better.

I bought one of these off evilBay a few years ago thinking I might need one for my NES someday; but my NES works fine and I never used it.

I've watched sales of pin connectors lately and I really don't see the gold-plated ones listed that often anymore.. so whoever made them may have gone out of business.

Like I said.. I've never used it.. so I can't say it's any better.. or lasts longer; but as Omnodeon once said.. I think all 2nd party connectors have a high reject rate anyways.

If you look at the seller's feedback or his items for sale, he has sold and still sells many of those. And people believe it...

Silver connector? Meant to last 2-3 months? It's funny that my NES is older than I am and works great...
