The begining of this article sounds like a quick fix to an age old problem but farther into it I begin raising an eyebrow at how much time this might take for someone less mechanically inclined (like myself). :hmm:

Interesting, I have a NES with some parts broken, but those parts are not necessary if I make something like that.

This is a pretty stupid fix. not only does it destroy the NES it costs more and takes more time then a new pin connector.

The new pin connectors are going to bend just as quick as the old ones though, this isn't THAT bad of a fix, considering how cheap you can get a non-working NES....

I fixed my Nes by not only replacing the connectors, but turning it upside down so the ZIF part is the one touching the motherboard (the much tighter side). You have to cut the sides off the new connector and put two pennies on the underside of the connector before you screw the motherboard back down, but it works flawlessly now and I don't even have to push the cart down....just stick it straight in like a game genie.
