View Full Version : Do I need a connector to hook up the 32x to a Genesis 2?

I bought a 32x, and it seems to work fine, but according to the manual I need some sort of cable to connect the 32x to the Genesis 2 to get proper video output. And what do you know, the stupid cable wasn't in the package I bought today. Without that, all I get is a gray picture.
I was looking around and found this thread (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=55215); has anyone bought that item from the company? Does it work? Anyone? Bueller?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks! :)

Well the item looks to be just a plug, so you'd have to buy two and make your own cable. But otherwise it looks the same as the plug thats on my 32x, so I'd say it should work. You may have to trim the shielding a bit though cause theres a flat side to the plug.

Wa hey, turns out the cable wasn't missing. I just thought it was an extra cable I didn't think much of. :P

As a side note I sell these cables for either 32x -> Genesis 2 or 32x -> Genesis 1 via eBay or PM
Glad you got your 32x working! If only there were more good games for it LOL
