Hello everyone,
Quick question. I am about to buy the NFS MW Black Edition for PS2. I already own the 360 version of MW but alas my cousins and brother who I keep in touch with online games only have PS2s. Anywho. I know the black edition has a few more cars etc. Now if they buy the regular edition of MW and I have the black edition of MW will there be any trouble as to cars tracks etc? Anyone come across this??

I can't be for certain, as I've got the Xbox version of the Black Edition and no Live service, but I'll take a stab at it.

Basically, you're going to have access to those cars(provided they can be used in online matches) and they won't, kinda like how people online can race all the cars they've unlocked, even if other people they're racing against haven't unlocked them. I raced some folks once with the Xbox360 version, and they were using cars that I hadn't even seen in the game yet.

I honestly don't think that EA would set up servers specifically for the Black Edition, simply due to the fact that it wasn't a tremendously huge release quantity-wise in comparison to the standard edition.

Just a thought, hope it was somewhat insightful. :)

Yeah thats what I am thinking, however I was unsure basically about the extra cars, was wondering if they would be able to be used online. Also was wondering if the black edition had any additional race tracks.

Hmm.

There are special cars(obviously), a bonus 'Black Edition Challenge' in the challenge series, and some bonus content. No new routes or courses that I'm aware of.

Just so you know, the PS2 version doesn't have online play. Unfortunately, EA made that exclusive to the Xbox and 360 versions.

man this has me really pissed off. No Online play? What the hell was EA thinking. I just read an article about it, basically they couldn't get it out on time if they put the online play on the ps2 version. They probably released it early for the xmas rush. Greedy bastards. They should of taken their time and fixed the online portion for the PS2. Man I hate EA more every day.
