Welcome to the forums! There's a link on the front page to add your website links as well, so be sure to add it there too. If you plan on sticking around, you might post in our Introduce Yourself (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11) thread as well.

i appreciate the love guys. looking to expand from being just vids. would like to have links to popular forums ei. bungie.net, mlgpro, hardcoregaming, and others... links to magazines... as well as coming up with original content. main goal its to have all gaming related content (vids, sites, mags, games) easily accesible from one organized site. (ls) looking for help. i cannot do this alone. if you wanna be a part of a soon to be greatest gamer website ever, contact me.

looking for people interested in:
Webpage design(fluent in php/MySql- for databasing)
writting articles/reviews.
tracking down content- flash files, vids, ect.

LOL Oh how many times I have heard that. You sound like me when I was trying to pick up venture capital for a bunch of projects I was developing a few years back. :) Seriously though, good luck to you.

However really it's just a big block of index pages with single line summaries of what's there - no opinions, no details, no real information. Just peeling off bandwidth of others by mass routing people there so your site is "the greatest" because of links. You need to write some real summaries with your thoughts on what's there, etc. Even barebones blog style would be nice.

thanks for the input, captain obvious. no really, thanks for the input. most of what you mentioned ive planned on putting into motion. i need something to start with while i figure the details out, and find help/teach myself how to put the ideas in code (working with only basic html experience. yes, im getting ahead of myself a little by saying "greatest website ever"...or what ever i said... but lemme just gather some traffic where i can :P ) *shakes fist* but you wait,.. itll be Great. *tents hands*... it will be great.

all your waffle fries r belong to us.

Geez, you seemed to want input here so I gave it. Didn't mean anything harsh by it. As was said to someone else on another thread by another person - you don't have enough posts to be sarcastic yet. :D

LOL I was kidding, geez. If you plan on hanging around (which is great) I'm sure we'd all like you to post in the introduce yourself thread that Flack kindly linked above. Welcome to the boards.

Looks like you have the step that most people stumble around with done - getting efficient webhosting set up. If you're looking for assistance DCS and DCEmu may be good places to recruit in addition to here as there are always talented people totally idle on those boards - at least I've come across many.

dj is lucky, normaly if someone with no posts posted a link to their site they would normaly get bashed to pieces ;)

I do agree though that t basicaly is a site that just uses external links using other sites bandwith. I think that there should definitly be proper credit given, such as a section with links to every website used to content on the site, or with every link to a video a link to the sites homepage should be used.

Summaries would be cool too.

im also surprised of the lack of flaming on me. thats why i think im gonna like this forum... you guys seem pretty laid back.
i agree with you. ive been planning on setting up links to all the homepages where ive tracked down content. dont get me wrong, its not like im trying to claim that i host any of these items... more like "hey i took the time to find these links for you guys so you could have them all in one place in a semi-organized layout.
i need some one that can do/show me how to put these links in a data base so that i can have them searchable and more organized. finding help is the only reason i havent done more to the site besides adding more links. (more will be up this weekend.)

Good luck with that idea as the previous have said. It's a rough business out there to create a website that competes against big names and magazines. In addition, you'll need a well experienced team if you plan on making the content you're calling for. What kind of qualifications do you have for making a good site though? Do you use some application that produces the site format or notepad, even Pico in some cases (If you know where I'm comming from). I'm currious what level of coding you have and your skills.

i took some extremely basic coding classes in high school. and i taught myself basic html before that. in college (DeVry) my computer gave up on me, and i was too broke to replace it... i went about 3-4 years with out one, and just recently purchased one late summer last year. ive realized that in those few years alot of things have changed with webdesign and have been doing my best to get "with the times"... pages nowwa days are in Xhtml and Php... things i know i could teach myself with time but would rather take the easy way out and find some one who already knows all the ins and out of the code.

i use note pad, and my limited abilities in photoshop.
im a cut and paster. if i see somethin i like, i check out the code to see how they did it... i know enough code to read and edit to my liking. only because i havent educated myself to know how to do it on my own.
when it comes to making webpages, it just takes knowing what the -visitor- wants out of it, and having an appealing look, and something worth coming back to. right now what i have is kind of a one stop web site... see what it has ...move on. with the right help and right content i dont think it would be too difficult to have a semi-successful site going. im not wishing for anything big, just a small community of gamers much like this one here at DP.

If you don't mind, stop bumping your topic whenever you update. You've already advertised your website and if people haven't gone to it, then they'll see your link in the signature. People who actually care will continually go and see what you've updated. Please don't spam and advertise on here. If a mod can lock this it would be nice.

Jr. modding isn't necessary but I do agree. Just the same if you don't post in the thread it'll just get trampled back under everything else. (for the record it was up top when I posted this) If anything Off Topic would be a better place to promote / ask for opinions on your own site. *shrug*
