Well, I'm gonna get the opposition and say I think the character designs look awesome, but the old fashioned playfield needs to go if they're going to do that.

Funny though, since most of Japan society is totaly in cuty-wuzzy stuff no matter what age.

I kind of like it, an odd twist on a series with a predictable style... the old style will never die, but seems like this is just an interesting change.
I know you guys are more for gameplay... so is this change really going to change how you feel about bomberman since it will still play the same?

A game called "Bomberman" doesnt sound like it can appeal to an older crowd, lol. They should just stick to the roots, I dont know what their thinking, this is beyond a make over.

It was more of a sarcastic tongue-in-cheek title really ;) I'm the one who's always asking what makes an "adult" videogame anyway LOL
But yeah as far as how it looks, I don't really like it... I guess the question I have is 'why'? x_x
I have always been interested in a photo-realistic Bomberman game, but this looks like it will be terrible.

As long as they release both versions (adult and cartoony) from now on, I have absolutely no problem with it.

I'm all for new ideas, but that looks pretty shitty. -_-
It seems games now days either ruin a good series(like Bomberman has done here, or Sonic Heroes/Shadow the Hedgehog), or it's another crappy sequel to a crappy series(Jak and Daxter, ect, ect).

If you have a PS2 then get Bombastic, the western name for XI Go. It was published in the west by Capcom because it's yet another SCEI game that SCEA skipped on.

I can't say I care for the new Bomberman style at all. But as long as it plays the same it'll still be fun.
And, a bit off topic, I know, but man I wish we'd get that Namco x Capcom over here in the US! Why didn't we? It looked so damn awesome!

well im actually excited, i like the new look. besides if you dont there are more bomberman games out there than probably any other franchise, you'll have what to play. this is new, fresh and purty. rock on!
