I know that auction services can automatically host images for you in ebay auctions. However, can you simply host multiple images yourself in photobucket or something and include them in your auctions?
Are any of you using an auction service (seller)? What do you think of them?
I'd like something to make them easier but won't be selling more than around 10 items a month or so.

There is a tab where you usually upload pictures that lets you enter in a link to a picture. But I think it only lets you do one link, people who have more than 1 I believe type in the HTML in the auction listing, can anyone verify this?

yes If you have photos hosted somewhere else you can enter html in the description and link to them. I don't know about photobucket but I think alot of the free image hosting sites won't allow you to remotely link the pictures.

I know photobucket does because that's where I put pics I intend to post here.

Do they have a bandwith limit though? If they do then I would recommend using them since its for an auction, you dont want prospective buyers that are viewing your auction not being able to see the pics. I use imageshack.
tinypic.com (http://www.tinypic.com/) is a great, free image hosting service that allows direct linking and specifically allows using their service in Ebay auctions.

I use Imageshack... yes, there are bandwidth limitations, but if you use thumbnails or linked images you should be fine.
Another alternative is IMGBoot.com - great server, fast, no bandwidth limits. The problem? The images don't seem to ever remain in cache, so everytime you see a page with an image hosted there, it downloads it again.
