A master system with box and inst. + 6 games.
games are shinobi, spy vs. spy, out run, double dragon, and some other common ones. How much at most would you give for it?

Assuming it comes with all the hookups and controllers, I'd give at most $30.
I'd feel more comfortable with $25.
I'd be happy with $20.
If I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, wanted it--I might part with $35, but I'd be grumpy about it.

Wufners is right in the ballpark. I'd happily go up to to $35 only if the games are complete. No more than that, though.

Hey to the original poster I don't mean to intrude but I have a similar question and thought I put it here instead of creating a new one. My apologies in advance.
How much does a boxed Game Gear system (great shape) with AC adapter and these loose games, how much would you sell it for/does it go for?
-Power Rangers
-NBA Jam
-Streets of Rage
-Psychic World
-Arena
-Sonic 2 (boxed)
-Cluch Hitter
-Lucky Dime Caper (boxed)
-Shinobi
thanks in advance.

So, I made a bad choice in buying mine for $40, loose with 2 controllers, a lightgun, 3D glasses and Outrun(loose)?
all depends on geographics, i usually see them around here for $15-20 cdn usually with a few games, CIB games go for 99 cents, SMS are quite common throughout canada though, lucky me 8-)

Here on the East coast USA, I haven't seen one in the wild in 15 years!
LOL
Local thrift has had Grand Prix, Outrun and Marksman/Trap Shooting on a shelf for $12 each for more than a year.

Not necessarily. The glasses run the value up a decent amount. Usually just the glasses can fetch around $20 or more.

Yeah, the glasses make that a worthwhile price. $35-$40 seems to be right in the right wheelhouse for that.
I spent $20 on a master system, hookups, controllers, and a couple of games (talked a flea market vendor down from $25.) Later I discovered he gave me genesis controllers, so after spending $4 at Goodwill for Master System controllers I ended up around the original $25. I'm happy enough with that, though $15 would have made me feel all warm and special inside.
Since then I've seen in the wild two loose systems for $3 and $8, controllers from $2-$5 and games from $1-$5. That's thriftstore/flea market prices from up here in Seattle. Make of it what you will.
$75 for sure seems too steep to me, but who am I to say? Someone else might really dig that price and be happy with it. I'm kind of cheap.
As for the Gamegear, I'm not sure. Loose Gears are around $10 at the thriftstores. A Gear with games, case, etc at the flea market can go from $20-$30. If the one you are talking about really is in great shape, has a nice box, and the AC adaptor i would peg it in the $30-$50 range.
But again, that's just a guess. My guesses are based on the prices I see while hunting and what my own cheap self would be willing to pay. Frankly, I don't care for the Gamegear enough to spend $30 or more for a boxed one, but I would acknwoledge that as fair. Not a come to DP and brag price, but fair.
If you can get all that for $25, then 8-)

To the OP, I would say around $30-35 would be right for the system and games, $40 max if your desperate.

For the console and (non complete) games. - $30
If the console is near mint and the games are all complete and in great shape. - $50

If you like the game, keep it. If you don't, sell it. It's worth what someone will pay for it.

Exactly.
How many of us throwing around price estimates are really in the market? If we were, what's the assurance that we wouldn't lop $10 off our projected price? LOL

For 3d glasses, in the wild, $35 is acceptible, but on the collectors market,... http://www.digitpress.com/DP/cmf/game.cmf?gameid=18272
