Oh, so I'm not the only person in the US looking forward to this. ;-D

For the uninformed, this is essentially Tokyo Xtreme Racer for PSP. The Japanese version is called Shutokou Battle: Zone of Control, and Genki's Shutokou Battle series is rebranded as TXR in the US. So yeah, it should be pretty cool. No idea why Konami's publishing it in the US though. Heh.

For that price I am very excited about it.

Actually the game looks like the graphics suck. I'm going to say the DS looks waaaaaaaaaaaay better than that.

I've noticed a lot of PSP games don't look good in stills. The major flaws of the graphics chip stand out: really jagged polygons, low res textures, and polygon counts that aren't very impressive. Combine that with JPEG compression, and a screen that isn't nearly as bright as the PSP's, and you can rest assured that PSP screenshots will rarely look good. BUT, since most racing games move so damn fast, and the PSP does such a good job of moving polygons around smoothly, these flaws aren't nearly as noticeable in most cases.

For example, this shot of Ridge Racer looks more or less like shit: http://media.psp.ign.com/media/682/682967/img_2678265.html
But the game is absolutely beautiful in motion. In other words, don't trust stills to give you an exact idea how a PSP game will look.

Yes. I know got ridge racer on my PSP about 1 year ago. However, I still think that Mario looks better on the PSP.
