I seen it locally, read the box, sounds cool, but is it a good game? Who here has played it, and what did you think? I hear from this board it may be hard to get, so I have been wondering.

I have it and played it...although the graphics are pretty lame, it actually adds to the coolness of the game, the game is very complex as you can evolve into different types of cubes depending upon what kind of other cubes you eat, at certain points you can get it on with other cubes and you evolve into multi-limb creatures, The game plays in 3-D levels that you clear, there're sorta like mazes, and at the end usually is a boss cube. some of the most entertaining things in this game are the diologues, your character talks tohimself kinda like a dairy after each levels and says some funny things...at first you can't really understand him, since he was just born and hasn't quite mastered speech, but he begins to make more sense as you go on. I thought the game was worth the price just cause it was different and interesting, it may be a personal thing, some people may think it's lame, but I enjoyed it.

Thanks for that input Udisi, I too like to try different games. As far as lame graphics I don't care. If it has a good idea behind it with fun gameplay its worth it in my opinion. I'm for more than just eye candy.

If you like lame, fun, puzzle/who knows what games with amazingly bad graphics, check out Space Station: Silicon Valley on the 64. Didn't sell too well, but I'd put it in the top 10 for 64 games.

Thats an interesting suggestion, I never would have even thought that. Probly get it dirt cheap too.

I hunted this topic down in the search engine because I want to discuss how good it is, not speculate on how rare it will be or how cheap you can possibly get it for at EB Games...
With that said, I think Cubivore is definitely one of the best games available for GameCube. The gameplay is genius. I haven't played a RTS game since Command and Conquer on the N64, but strangely, this game reminds me of a strategy title like one of those, especially after that 3rd level boss. The dream sequence where you start over is still puzzling to me, but I have really enjoyed this game to the fullest. I'm still unsure why Nintendo didn't bring it out themselves like they did in Japan, but it was probably the numbers they knew they wouldn't sell.

Leave it up to the Gamecube to have one of the most bizzarre yet entertaining games I have played on a recent console. The game is really out there, but that is what makes it stand out. I give the game huge points for trying to be original, something that seems to be lost in todays market. Buy this game not only for how fun it is play, but collectable wise it is kind of rare. Leave it to Atlus to make a low run for the US market!

Also, I should add that it's gotten more playtime in one day than Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and Metroid Prime, which isn't saying much for Nintendo's heavyweight titles. I was late for work yesterday after I opened it and planned to only play through the first stage. Two hours later...
Right now, I have a stack of unplayed Cube games in front of me that includes F-Zero GX, I-Ninja, Mega Man Network Transmission, Star Fox Adventures (which has been sitting here since the day after Christmas) and Tony Hawk 4, and all I can think about is playing Cubivore. This game will probably share time with Skies of Arcadia Legends and Space Raiders...

The game is bizarre and shockingly violent.
Yes, its worth getting. Great unique concept, and its fun to play.

Cubivore is definitely a strange game, but it is fun and is worth the money to pick up.

I love Cubivore. It's one of the weirdest, coolest, and most interesting games to appear on any of the current consoles. I'd definitely advise you to pick it up.

These are my predictions for future rare cube titles....
Cubivore
P.K out of the shadows
All the disney sports games
Casper Spirit Dimensions
Tom and Jerry War of the Whiskers
Blowout
Cubix
Freestyle Soccer
GO GO Hypergrind!
Aquaman
Whirl Tour
Men in Black 2
Superman Shadows of Apokolips
Those are all that i can think of at the moment, i added in superman and MIB cuz i heard they had a small print run and i also hear there is a unlicensed game released in Europe that will no doubt become rare as time goes on and of course new raritys come up everyday.
