cheats on The Warriors PS2

will using cheats on the game mess up the data like all the GTA save files? i'm on hard, and fighting a boss you have to throw bottles at..but i'm shitty at aim and throwing in time to avoid all his molotovs.

I don't honestly know about The Warriors but saving the game may keep the cheats permanently activated and that could screw up the game.
