So it seems Sega are releasing a new console!
However, its simply a follow up to the Pico - it even features the logo Advanced Pico on it. A little educational games tool. It features a touch panel and can be played without attaching it to a TV. The lineup includes a Pokemon game - strange, Nintendo on a Sega console.

Wow. It looks like it might give the DS a run for it's money with the touch screen and everything. I'm sure it will sell very well with pokemon. Where are these being sold?

The Pico was pretty sucessful in Japan, and games were still being released for it until a couple of years back, I think. There's already at least one Pokemon title available for it over there.

The second picture is of Anpanman, a popular cartoon character in Japan who is like, a talking red bean cake. I love him! Score. I might just pick this up despite my age.

Absolutely. In fact I read elsewhere on the internet that this console is expected to cut into the DS's sales so much that the PSP will be able to take the lead in the handheld wars.

Yeah, I gotta say while Pico is borderline silly, the LCD screen plus the quality of the screenshots = awesome.

Wait... since when does this thing have an LCD screen? This just looks like a straight remake of the Pico with nothing changed except the case color.

If it isn't backwards compatible, I don't want it. The original Pico is so much more retro and cooler. Have you seen my Hot Topic Pico shirt? Roots, brutha.
