I picked up a boxed Metroid at Gamestop and inside I found a sheet of loose leaf paper with codes written on it. The paper is folded into fours. It has a couple of light drink rings on it (brown, probably coffee). I was wondering what you Nintendo experts would pay for the paper with the codes on it...is the codes rare?

I honestly like those kinda things. I make a point to keep those kind of things if I find them.

The complete copy of Might & Magic for the NES I got from eBay had a full small notepad with notes, and handdrawn maps for almost every area in the game. The amount of notes could not fit in the game box even if the game itself was removed!

I still have them. Once I get the chance to sit down with M&M, I will probably use those to help me through the game.

It was nice to know the copy of the game I got, which was pristine, was not because it was unused, but because it was highly cared for and played.

Depending on the amount of codes and coffee rings, I'll give you a shiny quarter for them at NAVA. A nice artifact to have with my copies of the game.

The thread was intended as a farce but y'know, come to think of it, I wouldn't mind having a list of Phantasie spells. :)

Ok, don't get too excited... but I think you maybe be sitting on a gold mine.

I saw one of these (though not exactly like yours) on ebay the other week go for about 150 dollars. You're obviously sounds like a one of a kind piece and is extremely rare. The coffee rings actually make the value of this piece go UP, believe it or not.

Good luck, post some links to ebay if you plan on selling it.

I will trade you the following:

-A River City Ransom password which starts you outside of the first high school, with a single enemy beaten and his pocket change collected. You get to start the game with an extra 50 cents you would have had to work for, otherwise! Also have a password that has you 2 or 3 bosses in with a couple Lasagnas in your inventory and $3.80!

I'll trade you the Konami code! I'll even write it on a pice of paper and spill some mountain dew on it to make it a fair trade.

Getting off topic, is it just me or over the past several years, have you noticed that every time EGM or any other mag makes a reference to "the Konami Code" that the next month, their mailbag contains at least a couple letters saying, "What's the Konami Code?"

Furthermore, I predict that someday over 50% of the Konami staff won't even know the code.

Konami Staffer Over At The Water Cooler: (to co-worker), "Hey, what's this Konami code that everyone keeps talking about?"

Reply: "I don't know, let's go ask him." (pointing at another worker).

I'll offer you a sheet of GTA III cheat codes someone wrote on a folded and crumpled up sheet of notebook paper in sloppy handwriting. A portion of one of the corners is ripped off, but I don't think there was anything written there. Btw, the codes are for the Xbox version. Let me know if we have a deal.

(I actually found that tucked into a used copy of the Xbox version of GTA III that I bought for someone for Christmas. Wound up discarding it and gave the recipient a printout from GameFAQs instead.)

Do you like Power Monger for the Genesis? Tell you what...I'll take what you've got and offer you a list of passcodes for Power Monger handwritten on the back of a piece or realtor's stationery plus (PLUS, I say) a copy of the elusive Power Monger "Select any territory" cheat code that was printed from the Internet (wow) on 5/6/99 and has been kept (along with the handwritten codes) free from dust and coffee-rings inside the cart box for the game. PM if you want to see pics of these one of a kind enhancements.

I'm offering a sheet of paper that has the URL of a really good website for listing your collection and looking up the rarity of stuff written on it.
