~ Official Launch ~ Web Based Phantasy Star Online Game

Hey Everyone,

My brother has been working on a free web based phantasy star online game. It’s a text based game that uses graphics and sounds from the original PSO. As you can see by the image below you can navigate to the different areas of the game such as the Forest, Caves, Mines, Ruins, Seabed, Control Center and the Ragol Labs. You gain meseta and experience points for all enemies defeated and you can attack other people wondering the lands. Back at Pioneer 2, you can visit the Medical Center, Arms/Guards Shop, Telepipe Shop (to warp to the different areas of the game), Meseta Guild, Heroes Guild. In the shops you can upgrade your weapons and armor.

Cool stuff if you're a PSO fan and need to waste some time.

I tried it out this afternoon and it reminds me of the early text adventure games.

Yes, this game is a classic text based adventure. However, the added music and graphics give it some modern appeal. Give it a try!

- I just signed up as Amducias. Your brother should look into making something for us to put in our forum signatures like the Nowhere Else and Beyond one I have below.

- I would like to have the option to remove the clickable buttons and just use my keyboard. Instead of clicking the N/S/E/W with my mouse I would use the keyboards arrows. I would fight with the shift key...or something like that.

- The monsters are dropping "gold" instead of meseta.

- What is the MP guage? (normally I would assume its Magic Points but were using TP for that)

- I just clicked the fight button & it told me it detected a cheat attempt. :P

Is good to see some DPers in the game! Well the stats for the first 2 days are encouraging:

94,000 hits in 2 days!

We have some characters that are at level 25 already! This means they’ve been playing pretty much non stop since the launch ?!?!?! @_@

Thanks for the suggestions and errors. This will all help make the game better!

UPDATE:

The game continues to grow as we now have over 200 unique users! There have also been over 1,000,000 hits over the last 3 months !!

After receiving a lot of comments about the lack of MAGs we have introduced a new MAG system:

The Mags have finally arrived. Please welcome to Ragol; Kalki, Vitra, Varune, Sumba, Surya, Rudra, Naraka, Kama, Varaha, Marica, Madhu, Kama, Ravana, Kaitabha, Bhirava, Naga, Haitabha, Apsaras and a never before seen mag found only in Ragol Labs.

These mags can be found in the various Arms/Guards Shops.

Once again, the game is free! so I encourage you all to visit.

This actually sounds pretty cool.
I've always wanted to try out a Fantasy Star game, but never had the time/money/combination of the two.
