Harvest Moon GBA question.

Is the Harvest Moon for GBA the same game as Harvest Moon: Back to Nature for the PS1? I thought I read somewhere that it was, but I can't remember. If so, how is the GBC version?

It's not a port exactly, but both games do take place in the same town with the same characters. But different events happen and IIRC your farms a little different.

There were actually 2 version of HM for the PS, only 1 of which [the male version] got a release outside.

GBA has both versions out, both boy and girl. Some differences, but nothing huge.
