HI

i just want to know how much you would sell a mint copy of that game on SMS. I do not have the manual.

I know the DP guide says 35$... but with only 1 available on ebay and at 82$ i want to adjust my price between the 2.

Thansk guys.

I gave a little over $200 for my copy. Mint, complete, and perfect in every way.

And I believe that was a really inflated price thanks to some guy trying to snipe the auction at the last second.

Without the manual you could probably expect about $50 - maybe a touch more, though most people willing to shell out lartge amounts will want it complete.
This box/cart copy (http://cgi.ebay.com/SEGA-Master-System-JAMES-BUSTER-DOUGLAS-BOXING-US-RARE_W0QQitemZ8760708504QQcategoryZ87193QQssPageNa meZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) made the equivalent of $33 last week.

Oh, and I wouldn't take any notice of the Ģ50/$80 box/cart copy on eBay - retro_boy79 is notorious for overcharging on hard-to-find SMS games.

$50 seems like a good starting price to me too. It's not often listed on ebay, but neither is it in high demand.

I'd pay $50, just because I am tired of waiting for it to appear in that price range.

Battlemaniacs (Tectoy)

Pardon the question, but is this supposed to be related to Battletoads in Battlemaniacs for the SNES?

Nope it is batletoads for the sega master... don't know why they called it Batlemaniacs instead...

The levels aren't the same as the nes or genesis version.

SMS Battlemaniacs is a downgraded version of the SNES game. http://www.vgmuseum.com/images/sms/battl.html

FYI I sold a Buster Douglas in mint condition to a forum member here for $40 at CGE this past August. $50 seems like a fair eBay price.

I'm guessing that Buster for Master System is the most valuable sports game out there. Is that correct or is there a sports game that I'm forgetting about?

That was me. 33.96 is a great price if you ask me, but the shipping, handling and bank transfer quotes are the sour side of it. Just because the seller don't have paypal @_@

A complete/boxed copy of Track & Field for the Atari 2600 would probably set you back at least $300 (if not more).

To me $40 is about right on ebay since it isn't complete.

And man am I still kicking myself for loosing an ebay auction where it sold for only $10, complete :(

Well this is maybe not Master System, because it is MARK III, but Championship Ice Hockey MARK III was a "not for sale" game (that i won ) and is worth $500 approx.

But in European/US form,it's worth nothing :)

50 bucks I'd say is fair. I paid 90 for mine in mint condition around christmas time, and about a month later another one appeared on ebay and went for over 200! It all seems to matter how in demand it is at the time and who's looking for it.

That $200 one was the one I bought. That would have stopped ast Around $120 if one guy hadn't kept tryin to get it. I just put in a fairly high bid and went to work and came home to see the damage incurred to my wallet.

Yikes!!! @_@

There is always that danger when putting in a super high bid to make sure you win.

Yeah, I hear ya. I've had that happen to me a few times in the past so if I'm not at home, I put a price I want to pay and that's it. It really sucks when someone pushes you way higher than you wanted. Buster Douglas was selling for insane prices that Christmas. I believe there was yours for 200, a boxed one for like 150 and another that sold in a lot for around 180. I'm just glad I finished collecting for that system ;D. Don't have Sonic, but I do not count that as a hard US release.

Talk about dperessing, I thought I had the US Sonic and then I saw a topic that described the difference ... yeah I got took or else the guy I bought it from honestly didn't know either way I was out a little bit of cash.

Has anyone played Buster Douglas for SMS or do they just collect it? Point being, is it a decent game and somewhat fun? 8-)

I was thinking the same thing. I love final Blow I had the genesis version and the japanese version final blow.
I am curious as to how the master system version stacked up. I have never played it.

The japanese version of the genesis game Final Blow (james buster) had a champion named Iron Head he was difficult like mike tyson. Your punches took little or no energy from him. Plus no difficulty settings. I never was able to beat him in the japanese version.

I run it under MEKA and itīs not a good game IMO, but itīs nice to collect it. A good price will be 45 bucks for me. Not more. Itīs insane to pay more than 60 bucks for a SMS game for me (and iīm speaking as a SMS serious collector, trust me).

Cheers,

Matías

Pretty average really. If you want to play it without shelling out large sums, get the Euro Heavyweight Champ - it's the same game without the Buster Douglas license, and can be had dirt-cheap. George Foreman's KO Boxing is also a re-hashed version of the same game.

Wow! I remember Final Blow. Wasn't it an arcade game as well? but I do remember it for Genesis.

There's so many games out there, it's easy to forget about some.
