Hi there!
Does anyone here know the name or composer for the Space Fury opening tune? I mean, I had already heard that theme played before, so I suppose it wasn't originally created for the Space Fury game....
Thanks,
Eduardo Mello

Hi,
It's called 'Also Sprach Zarathustra' and it's written by Richard Strauss (1864 - 1949). Was used in the movie 2001.

Hi!
Really?!! But I had already heard a techno version of it....
I mean, it isn't the same theme as I remember from 2001, right? (you know, the primate throwing the bone upward...)

Yes, I believe so. I can't find an audio clip of it right now to compare. Space Fury music doesn't have the whole "BUM, BUM , BUM , BUM" drums part.

Sir, that is because it is not the song used in Space Fury. It is a different song, Sir.

If it is the same song you hear as you enter this site, then it is NOT "Also Sprach Zarathusta" (the 2001 theme). It is instead, "Fanfare for the Common Man" by Copland.

Hi again!
I have just discovered the version I was looking for was in fact arranged by Emerson, Lake and Palmer...
Thanks again!

I didn't think that was Also Sprach Zarathusta. I put ASZ's theme in my 5200 game Koffi, it's Pyro's Mom's intro theme. Just three notes of it, though. :P
