Dragon Warrior contents of box/ players guides

I just started playing DW and I love it which has made me want to get them all. I have just bought #4 off of ebay with the box and Explorer's Handbook. I'm wondering what else came in the box? I know that I am missing the map but was there anything else? Do all the games contain the same things?
As far as I can tell each one should have: a box, explorer's handbook, map, monster chart and the cart. Is this everything?

Finally(sorry I know there are a lot of questions) were guides produced for all the games? I have seen one for 1 and 4 but not for the other 2.

Map/monster chart, the guidebook, the actual game manual, and the cartridge.

if you got dw1 from nintendo power it came with a map for dw2 that contains a good enough walk through, I don't beleive there was a standard strategy guide for this one in the us (tons in japang)

the manual for 3 pretty much walks you trhough the entire game all the way up to the final boss, it also came with maps ,bestieraries and an items guide. again no offical strat guide in the us.

in an issue of nintendo power they had a pull out strategy guide for dw1,

Dragon Warrior II had a strategy guide book that sold separate from the game. I have one in my collection somewhere. It was one of those that were priced around $12.95 or so in 1990s.

DW4's guide could be ordered via mail-in form in the back on the manual.

That guide also had a map/item/spell/monster chart inside of it. It's one of the most thorough guides I've ever seen.
