there is no external AC adapter, it just uses a regular figure 8 power cord

Doesn't the Saturn power cable have the square thing on one end, and the circle on the other side. It's not exactly a figure eight like the two round things.
I was wondering if you could use any power cord that had the same end on it, cause I see various power cords at thrift stores and stuff like that, and I probably should buy them just to have extra's for any bare bones Saturns I find.

I was thinking of buying a bare bones saturn on ebay and was wondering what kinda power cord I needed. Its been a long time since ive owned one and I really don't know anyone with one now. I'm looking forward to some virtua cop action lol.
You can use the same power cord from your DC PS PS2 they all use the same cable. Xbox is close but the connector is not the same shape.

Yeah, I think the Xbox actually has the true figure 8 style plug, while the others have the square and cirlce plug. Also, of course, the PSone and PStwo have differnt PSU's that the regular PSX and PS2. So those of course won't work. I can say that the next time I'm at a thrift store, and I can find the right kind of power cord for a buck or less, I'll definitely have to snap them up, cause they come in handy for all those systems.

Ugh my cables have multiplied its like there living creatures I just have more and more apearing in my cable drawer. Were the hell did they all come from? I would sell them but I wouldn't get shit for em.
