For anyone here who has the swap disc mod set that comes with the 3 plastic pieces to put in the tray and a v.13 PS2 I have a question. How hard is/was it for you to prey the metal out of the way for the one piece and how can you really tell its flush with the rest of the unit?

When I did mine, I definitely didn't have to pry any metal. It was just a little cap that went over the switch inside the case, one that held the disk brake back, and another that got taped over the switch in the front. Check the instructions again so you don't ruin anything. Heh.

I'm not sure, but I bought it just last fall. So if that's the latest one, then yeah, I have that. Heh. It's the kind where you have to actually open the case to get to the inside lid switch, i.e. you can't put the little wedge down through the left hinge.

If there's some like metal there that you have to pry out of the way to get the wedge plastic in then yeah, that's a v.13.
